I agree with telling him as this is his child as well. It may make make things a bit harder, it may not. No one can predict what will happen in the future. Either way, he deserves to know that he is a father and a chance to be there for his child. Your child also deserves a chance for a father as well as his support (financial and hopefully otherwise).
