38 weeks~ Week of July 8

OK, so how many of us are still here? It's nice to know that it's going to happen within the next several weeks, huh? I'm going to try to focus on getting more things done before the baby comes (like weeding my unruly garden), playing with the kids, and resting. It's going to be hot here today. I think we're going to the pool!

I'm still here! I've been having lots of nighttime contractions the past couple of nights. I've been waking up thinking, "This is it!" and then they pretty much immediately stop. I had several good, painful contractions yesterday evening, too. I was so hoping to have this babe before tomorrow so I wouldn't have to go back to work.

I think, based on my list from last week, that we're ALL still here! Unless there are announcements forthcoming, all the 37 weekers from last week are still gestating. Including myself, fer shur.

At this particular moment (38w5hours), I feel exactly as I have up until now: Very pregnant with a babe who is very happy to be there. No contrax and, I suspect, no cervix action either...

ETA: Looks like meagansroses (edd 7/20) might be in labor, tho???

How do you guys feel? A LOT of people are having cnx (prodromal stuff), but I don't feel ANYTHING!!! (well, anything labor-related) I can tell baby is moving lower, as the cervical pressure and pinching are slowly increasing. I feel as though the basketball under my shirt, has turned into a bowling ball sometimes (it's SO HEAVY, especially when I try to roll over, etc). But, NO labor-related things going on here! I know I could give birth at any time, but with the way that I feel, I could see going a good couple more weeks! Anyone else?

I'm not even really feeling any extra pressure or cervix twinges. I don't think he's even started moving down yet.

Tho he IS getting really heavy in there. I've had to slow way down. It doesn't take much activity for my heart rate to get crazy high. And my ab muscles seem to be separating in a most painful way. : I have to be very careful to limit activity on my feet, otherwise the pain from that becomes excruciating. (Maternity belt I got doesn't seem to help much, either...)

I am feeling cervical head-butts (painful!) but that's about it, I think. Other than B-H (mostly felt in the car), of course.

It's getting harder for me to find little things to do to stop by obsessing over wanting baby out! The swelling is not helping. : I wish I wasn't so grumpy! I thought, as a preterm birther last time, that I'd be more grateful! Now I'm just as bad as all the women who drove me crazy after taking my babe out of NICU last go-around. So, yes...I am SO grateful that this baby will be ready to be with us with strong lungs and a big robust baby-body and am willing to wait until s/he makes their move to come out! Amen. :

I'm still here!!! I'm having a bit more prodromal labor than last week, but that doesn't mean anything really. I had TONS of PL with my daughter the entire month before she was born, so it doesn't get me too excited This is the most pregnant I've ever been though. Both of my kids were already born by now in relation to this pregnancy. I'm hoping to be here at least another week. I really want to experience being "done" this time around instead of being taken by surprize that I've gone into labor so soon.

I'm still here. I'm ready to be done though... I hurt so bad everywhere. This whole pregnancy I've only been able to lay on my right side well now my hip gets angry when I lay on that side for too long... lay on the left my kidney doesn't like it, back sleeping is totally out and dh flips if I lay on the tummy. I've had some cramping the past couple of days, really low, menstrual type cramping that I have NEVER experienced in pregnancy before. I've had some sharp cervical twinges but I'm probably still not dilated. I'm getting a VE when I go in tomorrow though! I know I shouldn't and they don't mean diddly but I just need to know. I have a feeling I'm going to be pregnant for some time yet.

Anyone craving foods again? I am sooooo hanging for chinese food (garlic chicken from a restaurant that no longer exists to be precise) and of course we're terribly broke right now.

still here: this neverending prodomal hell is going to kill me: I swear!! I started timing contractions at 9:30 last night-thats when I started having to breath through them. And they lasted till 4:00 this morning. I even tried to sleep and they kept waking me up. Now I am having never ending menstrual like cramps all morning but nothing like last night. I think she just might be too comfortable to come out Sorry I had you all on the edge of your seat for nothing. Off to update the other post for everyone else. Maybe I'll have her another day!! Still waiting. I keep trying to bribe baby out, telling her I'll give her a cookie or whatever. I know I still have several weeks but I'm so for this to be over. I'm sore, but still well enough to go to work full time. Fortunately they understand when I just don't get much done or spend extra time just sitting and reading. I'm getting really slow and making silly mistakes. I actually messed up a weeks worth of work due to trying to clean one of the machines out! I used the wrong stuff to clean it and it threw the tests off. Why can't I get extra energy and clean when I'm at home?!

I'm here! I'm still a bit behind you guys- I'll be 37 weeks on Tuesday but I feel like I'm going through a lot of the same things you guys are mentioning... I've had the crampies for the last 3 days (I think it's the birth ball, I've been using it religiously though, everyday & night since I got it!) I would say probably close to 50 contractions total yesterday but of course they're not regular, or in a pattern or anything like that... they're not really even HARD contractions, just annoying enough for me to know they're there...

I have a feeling it's going to be a while! I just pray that this baby comes on or near his due date and we don't have to start worrying about inducing or blood pressure issues, pre e, etc... I just want to have as worry-free a birth for this little man as possible!

I'm doing the *LAST* thing on "The List" today--STRIPPING DIAPERS!!! Yay! So we'll seriously be ready for this kid to get here when these things are done washing... WOOTWOOT!!

I hope we have some lucky laborors from this group this week!! Wishing everyone a happy week!!

I'm still here, too. Nothing going on, although I'm wishing wishing wishing she'll come early.

really 2 and a half weeks is a long time... 14-17 days is not... how can that be?
Well, I had my first real contrax yesterday. Random throughout the day; not that intense - but so it begins. It doesn't mean much, based on my past experience. That type of activity started about now with my last two pregnancies, too. The difference this time is that I know it does NOT mean any day now and I pretty much just ignore them/try to make them go away (rather than walking, etc. trying to intensify them and wearing myself out physically AND mentally in the meantime). I refuse to be fooled a third time! lol

Yeah, watch you go into labor tonight!
LOL Keri - I told my midwife last week that I also will not be fooled in labor again. I have now had two identical labors - VERY long and drawn out over 3 days, with 17 hours of super active labor. The worst part of it was having my midwives in and out, in and out of the house. I felt so bad! I said this time I will only call when the contrax get down to business. She said, Oh that sounds like a recipe for UC to me.

(I said if I have a baby that comes THAT procipitiously this time, I wouldn't be afraid of it being a UC. I have zero hope for that kind of labor, though. Lack of hope keeps me sane. )

Houston we have plug.

I know this doesn't mean anything but it definitely signifies the coming end for me. Just thought I'd share.
Yay, Nic!!! At the least it means your cervix is doing it's softening/opening thing in readiness. You are SO going to go into labor on your own this time.
I was crampy everytime I woke up last night (every 2 hours). My super tired mind kept saying maybe we are going into labor but, I think that I still have a long time to go, I don't think I have really had any BH contractions yet.

Today is my dd's birthday , so I promised them we'd go swim in our new pool I am 37 weeks (tomorrow) and I'll be having my baby by cesearan on July 23, so 2 weeks from today~ UNLESS of course something happens before then. ( I've only went into labor on my own once and it was 2 days after my EDD) I HAVE been having contractions on and off for the past few weeks, and some have been painful , SO I almost think maybe it is doing something to my cervix, so I wonder if it is , if my OB would go for a VBA3Cs? hmmmm....I've had dreams about the 18th of July for some reason, so we'll see.....:

Nic I lost my plug with Sully- he was the only one i went into labor with on my own... GOOD LUCK - hoping it is sooner than later~~

You guys, after tomorrow night I will be farther along than I've been with my previous pg's. I've NEVER been pregnant this long. I'm getting a little irritable.......
