Great nursing bra suggestions?

OK, so I already had to buy some new bras this pregnancy--I almost instantly when tup a cup size the second I got pregnant. Now those bras are getting too small! The new size I need is the size I wore when nursing DD, so I'm figuring I should just get nursing bras now.

With DD I had nursing bras from Mimi Maternity, which I wasn't happy with. They didn't have the underwire in them, which is good for helping to prevent mastitis and all that, but they weren't supportive at all. Droopy unsupported nursing boobs--not pretty.

Anyone have a suggestion of a great, supportive, easy-to-nurse in non-underwire nursing bra???

I had some Medela bras last time around, and was really happy with them. They come in underwire or underwire-free and they have a great range of sizes. In addition to cup bras, they have sport-bra type bras (not as restrictive, but loosely sized in S, M, L and XL). They also are adaptable to the Medela hands-free pump set-up, which I used occasionally, when not opposed to feeling like a cow strapped into a milking machine.

I am glad you asked this! I was noticing I have these red welts where the top of the cups are in my bras... time for some new ones. I am usually a 36B. My SIL gave me 40DD- I wonder if I will ever be in that size? Well, I can dream! haha!

I love, love, love the babystyle ones...Im on the smaller side (I was a 34B not preg, but still nursing a 3 year old). They are super soft, no underwire, easy to nurse in (kind of a crossover style). I was suprised at the support they gave, and they were lightly lined so I could often go without a nursing pad.

BUT, I cant find them on the website anymore!!! OH NO!! Im glad I still have mine.

SORRY, guess this doesnt help you, but, I did find them on ebay.

There is a site that has an amazing return policy/virtual fitting room to find the best bra for you. Let me find it...

My favorite nursing bra is the Playtex underwire nursing one. It fits like a real bra, doesn't have the scratchy stuff around the edges that cheap bras have, and it has total easy one handed easy access for nursing.

Ha! Maybe not that big, but if its any consolation I am usually a 34 "almost B" (seriously, I have to buy those half size bras), and at the end of pregnancy and while nursing DD I was a 36D!!!

The nursing bras that I wore the entire 18 months while BFing DD were from Motherhood Maternity. They were cheap, so if they got gross I could just toss them. In the early days I had something resembling a sports bra that just pushed over (no underwire) but they have a couple pretty ones that came out after a few months.

I was afraid to buy anything expensive because it seemed that the fabric of my shirt would get caught and cause fuzzballs that I didn't like. Or leaking would occur and over time they just didn't look or feel right.

This time around I *may* look into some of the above suggestions. But for $11-15 I couldn't beat the ones I got.

I love these:

I like that they are supportive but have no underwire. I also like that the straps are set wide apart, which is how I'm built. I loved them so much that when my DD was nursing less and I needed a smaller size, I bought more. They are great quality. I machine wash but hang them to dry and they are going to last for nursing baby #2!

Anyone know where to find nursing bras where the closures are down at the bottom of each cup (at the center of the bra)? I have a friend who swears these are the best. I don't know the brand name. Any opinions?

I personally REALLY preferred the ones that fasten at the top, since they open and close easily with one hand. I had a hard time closing those snappy front ones with one hand--I found them to much of a PITA for DD's 8 million nursing sessions a day!

I got one from target that snapped in the middle (in between boobs) and I did like it, but, it was kind of odd to snap in public, almost took 2 hands.

Here is one that snaps in the middle. Check their store, they have different styles and sizes:
