anyone close to their edd with NO signs of labor

I'm 39 weeks and feel like this little guy is really content where he is. I get some BH contractions when I walk but they go away when I stop, and they aren't that bad really. I haven't lost my plug. I just don't feel like my body is gearing up for labor and birth at all. My first was born at 42 and a half weeks but by this point in pregnancy I was starting to lose my plug I think and had contractions that would wake me up. With no signs and such a long pregnancy last time I'm starting to wonder. . . .

What I'd love to hear is some of you share stories about how you went from no signs of baby to baby in your arms within 24 hours!!! My mom is going to be in town this week and she would be able to watch our oldest during labor if I have my little one this week. I'm starting to think the chances of that are pretty slim though.

I wish I could share stories, but I am in the same boat. I had false/prodromal labor for a month before delivery my first two. Now I am due tomorrow and I feel "stagnant." Like my body has complety forgotten there is even a baby there! I get bh when I am busy too, but they never get regular and my body totally shuts down at night. I tried some stuff to encourage labor about a week and ahalf ago and then gave up. But being closer now, I am starting up again. I was even leaking amniotic fluide yesterday which got my hopes up, but the bag seems to have resealed itself. I'd look forward to some "suddenly I was in labor" stories too!

I'm 39 weeks and besides the occasional BH ctx, nothing.

My last baby, I had absolutely NO signs of labor. I think I may have had some really light BH ctx, but if I remember correctly they were much lighter than what I'm having now. At 41 weeks, I woke up at 4am in labor. Ctx woke me up, nothing else, no water breaking, no mucous plug. The ctx got closer and closer together and I had baby in 8 hours. It might have been quicker if I didn't have to get driven into SF and a hospital (midwife birth) an hour away.
