Are you one of the lucky ones either with children old enough to go to the midnight showing or to have secured a sitter for that time? Are you like me, and have to wait until the weekend to get away to see it? Are you not going to see it at all because the movies irk you?

I really thought about going to the midnight showing as I wouldn't have to get a sitter, but now that my husband lost his job he'll be home to watch the boys. Luckily I bought my ticket a couple of weeks ago so I don't feel guilty about it. The last time I had a day to myself was for the release of GOF, at which time I was nine months pregnant so it wasn't very comfortable. I think I need to go dig out my SEEKER t-shirt.

We are going at the weekend, I usually give it a coupla days till it's quieter. I like the sound of a midnight showing but my dc would have a tough time staying awake.

I'll go after everything has died down a bit. I want to get a babysitter and go and just drink it in. I just reread that (and Half-Blood Prince) and am really psyched!

Dd and I went to the midnight showing of GoF, but I just don't want to do that this time. We're going on Thursday. I can't believe I'm planning to skip a whole day! Dd is 12 y.o., and I'm leaving 8 y.o. ds at home with Dad.

I want to see it with DH and he works evenings. The earliest chance we'd get is Saturday afternoon. And we're leaving Sunday morning to go on a one week vacation. So.... We'll probably go see it July 23-25 sometime. I hate waiting to see movies because I'm always *so* scared they'll stop playing in english. I just checked our theatre website. There are 3 movies in English this week, 14 in french. According to the website, Transformers isn't even playing in english anymore! : Oh well. It's Harry Potter, of course it should run longer. And if it doesn't, I'll drive to Vermont.

Dh works evenings, so we will probably see it Saturday Matinee so we can afford it and take the kids, too.

DH will be gone from Wed-Sat so I'm going to a Sunday matinee, alone.

I'm not going to see it until I've finished Deathly Hallows. I will have read the entire series in this month, and I don't want the movie faces and changes to do anything to spoil what I have in my head for this last book.

Only after I have finished the story exactly as Ms. Rowling intended will I go back and see the director's version of her story.

I love the books, but the movies no nothing for me. Nada. Zilch. I saw the first two, maybe three, and every time I walked out of the theatre upset and unfulfilled. So, it's the book or nothing...11 days, one hour, twenty-eight minutes...

dar

PS I think Rain has seen all of the movies, but she's in no hurry either...

It's going to be terrible but I am going to go watch it anyway. 40 bucks down the drain just because I like the books and feel a need to see the movies.

We have one person in town we trust enough to leave alone with Andy, and he has to take boards for medical school, so he isn't free until August 9. We're sure it'll still be at the IMAX then, so we'll see it that day. Put Andy to bed, go to an 8:30 or 9ish show, back before he wakes up for his early hours diaper change.

We have tickets for 1pm on Friday at the IMAX. DP is taking a half day.

I am less enthusiastic about the movies but I am curious to see Helena Bohnam Carter play Bellatrix Lestrange.

We'll go and see it at IMAX once things calm down a little.

I'll probably have to wait for the DVD on this one, alas. Although I saw Azkhaban only on DVD and was just as impressed, maybe it doesn't matter so much.
