not this time. I did last time, and the numbers were awful. They said I was going to miscarry, and I didn't. (I did miscarry about 6 weeks later, but due to other reasons) It was such an emotional rollercoaster, and even though they were awful I didn't miscarry. So this time we decided to just enjoy it, even if it doesn't last.

But those numbers are great!

Got a beta drawn at the ER last Wed. night - 6500 which was dead on for 5w.

I had my blood draw today and go back either Thurs or Fri for the 2nd one to check doubling.

I'm not too worried this time though. My test went + in about 20 secs and was really clear. Plus I feel pregnant. Still I like the reassurance of the hard numbers and a blood test is pretty a fairly easy test to take.

Got my first beta back.

HCG 82, Progesterone 77!

So the HCG is nice and high for 13 DPO. I go back for another blood draw tomorrow to see if it's doubling. Again though, I'm really not that worried because I feel pregnant (and REALLY tired)

Hi there! I have just had HcG testing done to determine pg or not, and we are pg, but the numbers were 19, so very very low, and the numbers that came back after an almost 48hr wait period were nearly, but not quite doubled.
This pg is a surprise, a very welcome one I might add, but I have had a m/w talk to me about m/c, as the numbers are so low. That could be that I am just very very early, just mere days into the conception, right?

Your HCG levels should double every 48-72 hrs so if you're close to doubling in that time, you've got a really good chance that it's a viable pregnancy. Did they measure your progesterone too? That can give you more information too. Fingers crossed for you!

We just got our 2nd beta back and it's all good news here. HCG is up to 173, Progesterone is still high at 68.

YAY!

We go in for an ultrasound on Aug. 1st and hopefully we'll see a heartbeat!

ella: With Riley, the baby i just lost at 11.5 weeks, my numbers started out very low as well. And then they didn't double. And then, they did! But just barely. It continued like that until we saw a perfect little heartbeat at 6 weeks. So there is always hope. They say that up to 10% of normal pregnancies have really odd hcg levels! :

Thanks for the information and reassurance. I could really use some right about now. WE are so happy to be pg, but the m/w, well one in particular that I first saw, just planted this huge seed of doubt in my mind , and I am just being told to wait it out and see in 6 weeks time. Oh, ok then??? WTF???
The more I think about it, the more it annoys me.

Anyway, we are happy, and possibly expecting a baby at the end of March beginning of April.
