Busy weekend and I'm so sore

I am usually pretty busy on Saturdays, but this weekend I actually did gardening for the first time in MONTHS. To be honest, it was the first time I've been very physical at all for months. No cleaning, gardening, exercising, etc... since the pregnancy and being sick.

It was then a LONG, physically tiring day after that. Sunday we went to the beach ALL day. A couple of miles of walking, walking in the sand, fighting waves, laying on the sand...

This weekend has left me with terribly aching hamstrings. Heck, everything is tight and achy.

What's worse? My repeatedly applied sunblock DIDN'T WORK!!! My very white body is now a lobster down most of the front. All the way from hair line to toes that wasn't covered by a swimsuit is fried. I am SO burnt.

I don't know my point for this post, but I guess to whine and vent. Even worse, I look utterly ridiculous with this burn too. One side of my face is worse. My tankini squished my huge girls together and my bras let them separate, SO imagine, when I put on any of my summer tops (they all show cleavage, just about) I have lobster RED breasts with a WHITE strip down the middle cleavage.

Can't wait till I blister and peel and see what, if any, funky tan lines come in. yay :

My kids all got some burns because when hubby put the block on and when he'd reapply around their sandy bodies, it wasn't perfectly done. So my lil guy has stripes, dots and patches of sunburn all over his body, including triangles of bright red under each eye. It IS kind of funny to look at

Oh - I'm so sorry about the sunburn! That aloe gel stuff is great if you don't actually have the plant.

Take it easy and get some rest. I've also had some very busy days recently. Like you, I've been taking it easy most of this pg as far as physical stuff and now I'm on a mission to get my house cleaned up and decluttered (which includes getting down on my hands and knees to clean the carpet) and my body is starting to send me signals to slooooowwwww down. I probably shouldn't do everything my brains wants to get done....or I should at least get more help.

Anyway - I understand your little vent and I hope that your body returns to normal very, very soon.
