I am 8w3d and I've had it for over 2 weeks now. I keep thinking that it will get better as I start to close in on the 10 week mark, but it only seems to be getting worse. I didn't have anything this bad with my son. The dry heaving is just awful. Nothing seems to help. Eating seems to make me feel worse initially, and then only slightly better.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I really sympathize with you. I've had the bad nausea starting at 5w. I have been taking a quarter dose of unisom every 5 or 6 hours and it has really helped. Have you considered trying that? It doesn't make everything perfect but it makes a huge difference.
It's impossible to know when it will end for us but I think the hormones peak sometime in week 11, so hopefully it will go away after that pretty quickly.

oh man, i hate to tell you this too....
but with my pg#2 i remember just counting down to week 12 when everything would go away. then that's when i found out on these boards that it doesn't usually go away until wk14. they were right. hang in there!
i'm in week 9 right now and hoping this time will fly by. what i do to limit my nausea is eat smaller meals (even if you still feel hungry, just cut yourself off eating half.) wait about 15-20 minutes, and if you're still hungry, then eat a little more.
I've also been drinking more water than usual.
also something that has helped me without expecting it to (maybe you read my post)... i ate a little bit of a Special dark chocolate candybar by Hershey's... I just let each piece melt on my tongue (in case that matters at all in the process
) and the nausea went away! (temporary fix anyway)
anyway, hope you feel better soon.

I hear you, I have had it for four weeks now. it is getting tad better but some days are better than others and the heat makes me feel awful.
Anyway, my midwife suggested something that seems to help, but I just don't think there's any miracle solution after having been through this a few times and trying everything out there (besides Unisom, which I have heard of too but don't want to try).
She suggested eating every 2 hrs and alternating between protein and complex carbs. So first thing in the morning I have a Luna bar, which I can tolerate, then about 2 hrs later I have a few handfuls of salted peanuts. And so on. Not a full meal, just a few bites if that's all you can handle. You don't want to overeat either. I don't want to list foods because I'm sure to gross you out so you can come up with some proteins and complex carbs that sound tolerable to you. It has helped me because it stabilizes your blood sugar.
Two other things that help some are walking, if you can stand it, and drinking lots of water, sometimes putting a ton of ice in it helps. I have heard that walking helps to balance your hormones which is causing all of this in the first place. It's just too dang hot here lately for me to walk but maybe it's better where you are, or you can go to an indoor track or something.

With dd, I had all-day sickness until about 20 wks!!!
: It was awful.
This time I do feel nauseous and have gagged, but I haven't, well you know!
I have a sour stomach constantly. Here's what helps me:
Cold fruit
Spicy food
:
Fruit bars, coconut especially
ORGANIC cola (H20, cane sugar, real cola flavor) {I'm not a soda drinker}
Protein like almond butter, eggs, no nitrate ham
Potato chips and onion dip
Tortilla chips and guacamole
Mostly cold things and sugar helps. We eat almost exclusively organic food, so not having a lot of additives and things of that nature helps too.
I've been craving a lot of comfort junk food. Pizza, chili fries (I hated chili fries for years), nachos (I also hated nachos for years), lasagna.
I'm crabby and feeling bad, sour, yucky stomach is almost worse than the constant m/s and t/u with dd.
Hang in there mama!
