What I Will Not Miss

Thread Starter
1. Peeing on my hand when I try to hit the cup at the OB's office (WTF is up with pee in a cup at 9 months pg anyway??)

2. Tripping over my own feet b/c I can't see them

3. Crying at a financial planning commercial on television

4. Obsessing about keeping the laundry up to date Just In Case

5. Having my boobs resting on my stomach so that they create a nice, even little heat rash

6. Leading with my stomach whenever I enter the room, or attempt to get up from the floor

7. Peeing 18 times in a 60 minutes period, and only having pee actually come out twice.

Who's next?

heartburn really really bad heartburn
constant peeing
Really thats it. . . well right now I'm getting tired of ladies telling me I look like I'm gonna go any second. Mostly because I'm pretty sure they are wrong and I have a couple more weeks!

the feel of walking on razorblades

obsessing over every sensation in "that vicinity" and wondering if it's time

the swelling that seems so prevalent this time

weight checks, I always feel guilty for putting on weight

my husband being obsessively overprotective of the baby eventhough she's inside of me and perfectly protected

Sleeping with a pillow between my legs

pain in the groin

peeing frequently, of course!

Pretty much everything about pregnancy, to be honest!

1) the soreness in my pelvis when I try to stand/sit/move at all
2) heartburn
3) soreness just trying to carry my 18mo old dd
4) the waddle
5) crampy-menstrualy yuck and strong BH
6) being forced to sleep on my side and the pressure points that my changing pelvis has created in my hips
7) that skin-crawly feeling when I nurse my dd
8) having to lean waaaaaaaay over to hug my husband
9) feeling like a whale when having sex
10) the general lack of clothes that fit both my belly and my shoulders well (and don't show off my whole boobs)

This just happened to me today! I take comfort in knowing I'm not the only one pissing on her own hand.

And the real question is why is the cup a teeny tiny DIXIE cup???? WTF???

Big belly + girly parts and inprecise aim + dixie cup = does not compute!

See, I even tried to make a joke about this to the nurse when I waddled back into the exam room with my urine cup in hand, and she looked at me as if I had my head on backwards. Obviously, she's never tried to pee in a cup when she couldn't actually SEE the cup, OR the pee.................

What they need is one of those sitz bath thingies. I think I could hit that.

SPD
sciatica
the grinding of her head in my pelvis
the waddle
the swollen feet and ankles.
the swollen crotch
the rolling over in the middle of the night taking five minutes because the SPD hurts SOOO badly and you get "stuck"
the specific belly lift&lean to wipe my own arse
prodromal labor
my husband being such a freaking BABY!

I will not miss the worry about every morsel of food I eat- could it have something bad in it, should I have eaten something better.

Not being able to take my favorite medications- decongestant last winter, anti-inflamitory right now for an incredibly painful pinched nerve.

Insomnia- it is 3:30 in the morning right now

Being hungry all the time, but all food making me sick

Being the ONE responsible for him all the time, I am looking forward to DH getting a few turns

I am sure going to miss feeling him move inside me- I really love that connection

I was looking at myself in the mirror this morning and thinking that one thing I WILL miss is how the giant 9 months belly makes my butt and thighs look so much smaller than they actually are...

Bella is a month old in two days, and I still have a ton of these symptoms! I have been an emotional wreck lately, and I still cry at commercials, the color guard in the parade, and Bella's too small diapers! Augh! When will it end?

Heehee...totally! I think I have to pee a little to find out where to hold the ITTY BITY dixie cup like PP mentioned everytime, 'cause I swear it my urethra must move every week!

Bee, that's funny!! I had just notice this morning how crazily disproportionate I look now, like I really don't "fit" together anymore. It's wierd.

My main one is driving myself crazy trying to keep the house spotless for visitors. My DH is doing the same thing with our yard -- mowing every other day because it could be "any day now."

I will also not miss feeling huge and dumpy and lazy. I am so ready to be my normal self again!

BTW, I told my OB at around 30 weeks that I wasn't peeing in the cup anymore unless I had some kind of urinary symptom. Now, when the nurse tells me to leave her some pee in the bathroom, I say, "My pee's fine this week." She doesn't argue.

My midwife doesnt' make me pee in a cup... every week i wonder if i'm going to be asked to, but nope.... not one of the things she does even thought I'm now going weekly. But I remember this from the first time around, actually pg or not, its never easy for me.

The inlaws are comign this weekend so that means that I will have to clean one last time-- and lugging a vacuum at 9 months is one thing i won't miss

I had another one and I forgot it... but there you go, the memory loss, I won't miss that although it takes a while to get from pg brain to mommy fogg and back to 'normal'
