I like Maddox. Thomas is in second. Have you considered having 4 names rather than hyphenating? I like that better.

My first two boys had hyphenated middle names that ended with James for each (Philip-James, Jason-James) and so we stuck with it for #3 even though by then I wasn't as happy with it... I've been having kids for 12 years, so I've grown from my original inclinations. I still am not so happy with it, but it's consistent, so #4 will also be a _____-James middle name.

The nice thing about hyphenation is they don't actually have 4 initials as you only use the first middle name. So it's JAW instead of JAJW.

Yes, my poor middle son's initials are JAW, and he lives up to them!

I first posted this poll here and yesterday in the I'm Pregnant forum hoping it would help us decide, but I just cannot seem to decide! Hubby likes Axel, Maddox and Thomas in that order, and I believe that might be my favored order too. But we both have our doubts about all. And yet, no other name we've found seems to fit either.

I know, I know, take some more time to think about it, but I'd like to at least FEEL settled, even if it's open for changes. I feel like we've settled on a girl's name now (Mara Jane), but we're still open. That makes me happy.

yeah-the axel makes me think of axel rose too (like everyone else! ) and seriously, I would just not do that to my child.

Maddox-again, instantly Anglelina Jolie -and I really don't like the name.

I like Thomas. It is traditional and solid. It doesn't seem very overused at all and flows well with the middle name

My personal favorite is Thomas. I can't get over the Axl Rose connection... and now the PP's story about her friend asking why the neighbor as yelling "A**hole!" ROFL!

I like Axel best. It doesn't automatically make me think of Axl Rose and I had a couple of their albums Its on our loooong list of names. Maddox is my second choice although I really like the way it sounds with your middle name.

It's definitely European. This site says Hebrew and if you look at the charts it's popular in Sweden. The page also gives spelling variations that are interesting.
