Ha ha ha, this is the question from a friend last night. Single guy, no kids. I said, "I am the birthing device. You are looking at it."

Turns out he meant did we rent the tub yet.

Cracks me up.

I have been asked a few times "Do you have your bath tub yet?"

LMAO That is too funny!! We had a guy friend (same situation, single, no kids) ask us the other day where we were going to *have the baby*... at the time I was sitting on the couch reading a book about waterbirth and we had just gotten finished talking about the midwives bringing the pool over, etc...he knew we were having the baby at home, but he was wondering where exactly in the house we'd be delivering... I told him we'd probably just set up in the kitchen and his eyes got as big as golf balls! I was like, "is that a bad idea or something?" and he was like, "you're going to have the baby in the kitchen sink?!"

*sigh*

Single men... teehee...

I'm imagining the little pickle-pluckers for getting pickles out of the jar.

My husband's entire team had to come over and see our birthing pool the day it was set up. It was very silly.

That's funny. I'm glad he was only referring to the birthing pool.

Actually someone had posted a link to a patent for some really strange birthing device, invented by a man of course. Seems like it used centrifugal force to "deliver" the baby. Eek.

Dreamer- two of my babes were born in the kitchen... because we could hook up a short hose to the sink and fill the pool. Worked for me.
