Heart rate and gender determination

Do you all really believe that wives tale about over 140 its a girl under its a boy??? Has anyone had an experience with it right or wrong?? I never could remember the heart rate when Iwas pregnant with my daughter but I do think it was rather high so maybe it was right with her. Anyways ... just wondering. This ones heartrate was just at 140 woudln't you know. So I guess its still deciding

My DH totally believes in it. Both our girls were over 140, as was my neice and my nephew was under 140.

I'm hoping. both my girls were ALWAYS over 140 and this time we are at 132, so i'm hoping for a boy!

No, I definitely don't believe it. My daughter's first heart rate was 139. And every midwife/doctor I've ever talked to says it's a myth.

I thought it was the other way around? Guess I'm nuts. At my ultrasound with my ds2 the technician (as she was putting the gel on my belly) asked what we thought the babe was. We said, "Girl." She said, "Hmm. The heartrate sounds like 'boy' to me."

She was right.

My DD was always 150's and this one was 150's this week when we picked it up. We'll see!

Both my daughters were always very high. I haven't got a heart rate on the one I'm expecting now....we are hoping for a boy!!

I've attended several births as a doula and in NO CASE did heartrate match the gender. I think it's a crock!

My dd's was always low and in the 'boy' range, so nope, I don't believe, lol! Although, I usually have low BP and a lower pulse, so maybe she just takes after me.

And I'm convinced this little one's a boy and his HB is right around 150.

Ds heartbeart was between 160-170 the whole time.
