Sounds like pretty good preparation for being an older sibling to me! A friend of mine gave their son a doll just before the birth of their second child. They were excited to see him carrying it around and snuggling it... less excited a few minutes later when he was driving his trike over it.

My oldest son had dolls and he was a little nurturing with them. My middle son had dolls and it was less nurturing and more boy play. My last son never really touched dolls (he does have stuffed animals). But when they're influenced by the older boys, the younger ones don't do dolls much and certainly not in a way you might like

still, I will buy a doll or two for this babe too, and hope it makes it to a ripe old doll age without tire marks or holes.

awwww! megh and i used to have matching slings...i think i gave mine away cuz i didn't like it but she still has hers.....i will get her a matching one.
