1. Third wave feminism: Hermione and the riot wizrrrrrrds

Hermione would be the star if she pushed up her bra instead of her brain. Discuss. (Include an analysis of the broom as pole dancing prop).

I just copied and pasted the first fake exam question due to copyright rules. There's more in the link..the next question is about second wave feminism, and highlights the differences between the two time periods and thinking in those times. Another question is about Marxism, and there are others.

It reads like a ridiculous university exam.

Back when I was in university, I would have very studiously answered the questions. Now, I just want to read the book and not think that deeply about it .

Keep in mind that anoyingreader is a homeschooled 11 year old, and has never taken a university exam. Come to think of it, I doubt if she knows what a pole dancer or a phallic symbol is, but I'm sure I'll be explaining it soon.

I saw that in her sig and did a bit of a "d'oh!!"

I posted the link because it's hilarious to me with all the high-falutin' university speak and reminds me of being very serious and overly analytical about just about everything for 6 years of my life .

When I quoted the line I did, I never thought about maybe needing to explain what has become an exercise routine for some moms . My sincere apologies .

No need to apologize. I want her exposed to "the real world" with me right there behind her to explain things as necessary. If I didn't, I never would have allowed her to get her own username on MDC. Not that it made much difference, she's been reading MDC over my shoulder for a while anyway.
