I'm so thrilled with how these turned out. They're really just red, white & blue, no americana fabric, but they wore them on the 4th.

My girl's:

with their Dad:

And I just had to make myself a top too:

The pattern is by Studio Tantrum, it is called Redondo (skirt)

Thanks,

I love them! I wish I could so well enough to make one for my princess!
Were they hard? I have just very basic skills with a machine.....

I have tried a couple of tantrum studio patterns, I love them and have found them to be even easier then store bought!

melikahiwa ~ I have a serger and found them to be easier than I'd thought. I think it would be more time consuming to sew them on a regular machine. You'd have to pin each skirt panel to the next and sew the curves very carefully.

I had to do mine on the sewing machine I felt like it was too curvey for my serger skills. next time I'll try on the serger.

Drat, sounds tricky
I guess I'll just look them up on ebay and see if anyone makes them there
Thanks for the info

I do mine on a regular sewing machine & do NOT pin each curve. The first one I made did not take very long at all and now it is really easy. Don't be discouraged - it is a fun pattern!

I love these! And especially without the Americana, because they can then wear them all season.
