I saw this and I'm thinking, why can't I do something like that? I'm starting to think Christmas - and I'm thinking this would be a perfect first dollhouse for a 2.5 year old - I'm thinking a 3 shelf unit, a smaller sized waldorf doll....

Do you think that looks doable?

I think it looks simple enough, I'm sure you could make something similar. It looks like it is just a couple boards, some small wooden dowls, and fabric. I bet you could make one that's just as cute for a fraction of the cost.
I think your dc would love that for xmas!

I LOVE that!

That is really cute - it does not look too hard to make. If you make one you will have to share some photos.

alaska, I like your blog. I was going to leave a comment, but don't want/need to open a google account.

i didn't realize you need a google account though - that stinks! that means my mom can't either! I wonder if I can change that?

I can change it and I did Thanks for the heads up operamommy!

and by the way, just checked yours out - I LOVE that picture of your DS walking down the field next to the fence - too cute. (doots! LOL) and I'm way jealous of your garden.

I might take you up on that.... I'm going to start planning it out on paper here as soon as this trial I have starting on Monday finishes (which is the reason why I'm still here at work toiling away), and we get back from the fair (Haines, never been, can't wait!)

you may craft vicariously through me anytime!

I'm not...I'm in Juneau. I think you're in Anch, yes? At least I'll be able to brainstorm with someone in my time zone!

This idea is growing...
I got the book Last Minute Fabric Gifts and in it is a "garden" made out of felt and other items... and I think it would be perfect next to the little fabric house....

do you guys think felt furniture or regular "dollhouse" furniture? It'd be for a 2.5 and a 5 year old...
