I thought I'd check in here today.
Things have been great here. I got my Harry Potter book today and have spent the day nursing Adrienne and reading. She's such a laid back baby. Funny story: Yesterday morning I was getting ready to give Adrienne a bath. She was on the bed with DH and I was by the dresser getting everything ready. I look into the dresser mirror to see DH feverishly shooing away our 4 cats, who it seemed had decided that they would be much better at bathing her. The poor thing was covered in kitty slobber. But I guess when she grows up we'll learn there are much worse things that she could be covered in. |
We had a similiar experience with our dog she finally has decided that this baby thing isn't so bad. Although she still get upset when she cries, but so does everyone in the house. Our dog was licking her arm and then I realized she was licking Emerson's bum!
She was lounging in my arms naked and the dog decided she needed a bum bath! ( I had just changed her so her bum was quite clean) but still gross!

Our cat simply sniffed her in one of her first days here and hasn't given her a bit of attention since.
This is going to go by all too fast for me. Anyway, we're all doing well. She is slipping so seamlessly into our family. What an easy transition we're having.

I can totally relate. I'm surprised how with every pregnancy my postpartum hormones did different things. This time, from about 7-10 days after Hayleigh's birth, all I did was cry and cry. It seemed to hit around 7 pm every night and last all night long, for me. For the past few days, it has seemed a bit better. Hopefully, it will pass for you as well.
: I want to go too but we're trying to take it easy with Greta for these first couple of weeks, last time I flew to Canada (and got married
