Anyone else have to take meds during this PG?

I really hate it. I had severe PPD after my last two children and have been on celexa since the birth of ds2. My OB and I decided together that it was best I stay on it. I can deal with that.

But...I have wicked bad allergies and asthma, so I'm also on zyrtec, singulair, advair, and an emergency inhaler when I need it. The singulair and advair are new, and I have to admit they are working great. I feel better than I have in months, and I can BREATHE. Though they are class "C" drugs, my OB says they use them all in the time in their practice and consider them safe, and that the baby will potentially suffer more harm if I don't take them.

But anyway, I really wanted to have a "drug free" pregnancy - and I'm on 4 medications!!!

Sorry, just a whine, I guess.

zofran so far. just to keep the vomitting and dehydration at bay. i too wanted a drug-free pregnancy but unfortunately it's not to be. It's the only way to maintain my weight and be able to nourish my baby and my body.

I might have to go on blood pressure medications later, but nothing yet.

I was on Reglan/Maxalon for vomiting (they don't prescribe Zofran in Australia very often, it seems). I haven't been taking it since I went on sick leave from my job 3 weeks ago, because it was actually making me feel worse. I just started seeing a homeopath last night to try something else for this continuous nausea (thank G-d, I'm not vomiting *that* much lately). So now I'm taking a homeopathic remedy (Sulfur). We'll see how that goes.

I have asthma and have an albuterol inhaler. I don't have to use it too often, but if I need to I will. And I usually end up on steriods of some kind at least once during pregnancy because I almost always get pneumonia. Don't ask me why... In the summer no less.

I, too, am on Celexa. Even with it I have some "bad" days. I don't know what would happen if I didn't have it!
