What is 1st PP AF like? Because mine is really light.

What is the 1st post partum AF like? I am on day 1 of mine (DS is 15mos) and it is pretty light thus far. I thought I heard it is usually really heavy and lasts a long time. But so far, mine is light.

I expected mine to be really awful, too- I heard the same things. It turned out to be pretty average. No major cramps, not exceptionally long. Mine showed up when my son was 14 months old.

Maybe we're the lucky ones!

My first 3 were VERY light....because they were anovulatory.

I always had pretty bad cramping before having a baby, but with my postpartum periods, there has been very little cramping (and I think my flow is a bit lighter as well).

My first was pretty normal, 4-5 days not super heavy, normal. My SECOND spotted for almost a week and then BAM someone turned a flood on. It was soooo heavy and its been an 8 day cycle.

So watch out for the next one. i was sure i had implantation bleeding. sad to say no, but happy to TTC this month!

My first period after my second baby (she was 14.5 months) was very light too. Just 2 days of light bleeding, then 2 days spotting. I got pregnant with baby #3 a few weeks later! The first period after her birth (at 20 months) was a heavier period (about typical for my regular monthly) ...again I got pregnant a few weeks later. We'll see what happens this time around!! (With my first baby, my period came back early because I went on the pill)

could you fell your first ppaf coming. I have felt like mine was right around the corner for months but it never comes. dd is 16.5 months
