What snacks/drinks will you have on hand? - Page 2

My first labor was looooooooooooooong and ended up in a C/S but I ate a lot in the first 24 hours I was laboring - I had snow cones, Chick-fil-a for breakfast, and some toast with almond butter - and tons of Gatorade! lol

With my second labor, I woke up in labor and had a little toast for breakfast (was SO not hungry!) and a big thing of Gatorade during labor. It's AFTER labor that I ate a lot! My sweet DH made me a bologna and cheese sandwich and boiled me 2 eggs afterwards and it was AWESOME! lol

I didn't have much appetite during my labors, in fact, when others around me ate, I found it gross. However I did eat juice pops and drink some mountain dew. :
They were relatively short labors- 9 hrs. & 5.5 hrs. So I didn't get too weak.
Once the babies were out, Let the feasting begin!

So I'll probably have some juice pops and easy, healthy snack foods around towards the end...

Divine Egg Brunch, if possible. If I have time to prepare it while I'm in labor. Or if I can get dh to make it afterwards. It's a wonderful, wonderful egg/mushroom/canadian bacon baked dish that's not kind to the ol' arteries but is SO GOOD. We have it every Christmas morning... actually, since my due date is Jan. 4, maybe we'll have some already made... that'd be great! It's funny, but every time I imagine after the birth, I imagine eating some Divine Egg Brunch while nursing the baby!
