Wow!

I went in last night to trim up my hair- I'd been getting split ends and wanted my layers re-defined. My hair was the longest it'd been since I was 7. It was to just above my nipples. I shouldn't be allowed to be in a salon alone while pregnant...I cut nearly six inches off! It's now just even with my chin! It looks good but holy change, Batman! I feel like I've lost a ton of weight. At least now I don't have to worry about having massive tangles the size of small villages each morning (even sleeping on a satin pillowcase).

That sounds like QUITE a fun time! I bet it feels good to be rid of some extra hair in this heat. Man... I am trying to grow my hair. But it's going awfully. I thought hair grew faster over the summer and while pregnant! Not the case for me. I'm going to be at this horrible in-between length for quite a while yet.

Sounds dreamy... but I can't handle a chop right now. I hate how short hair looks on me.

i don't let myself get my hair cut during pregnancy or the first few months post partum for that reason.

wow! i bet it looks awesome, you should post a before & after! the last time i had mine short was when i was preg w dd and my dh went crazy over it loved it and i did too. id love to get it cut again soon, but i dunno.

He learned early on in our relationship to not get attached to hairstyles. We started dating in Sept. In Oct I cut my hair kind of short, by Jan. it was like maybe 2inches long in the back and spiky, had one very long piece in the front, and my bangs and the long piece of hair were blue.

I used to change my hair like most people change socks.

I always had my hair short in high school... then I grew it out and kept it long for several years. I chopped it all just after I found out I was pregnant with #2 (about 8 inches). DH had never seen me with short hair, but he loves it short. I'm not sure I'll ever go back to long hair... it's too much work and I like how I look better with short hair.

Yes. Same.

I can't trust myself to be rational, I'd be afraid I'd leave the salon with a purple bob - something cute, yes -but just not something I'd want everyday.

I know how you feel! I just cut 2.5 feet off my hair! Up to my chin as well.
