Well, THAT was stupid......

I'm a total insomniac when I'm pregnant. It's a complete disaster. last night I ate a huge dinner at 9pm which consisted primarily of raw and fresh veggies, and I was up for hours with incredible heartburn. Tonight, I decided to forgoe the heartburn food for ice cream. ESPRESSO ice cream. It was good, and I ate at least 1 1/2 cups of it.

I have been laying in bed for an hour and just realized why I'm so freaking wide awake. I think I'm going to do the edging on the baby sweater I've been neglecting, and make sure my email address book is up to date.

STUPID............................................ ......

Yum, Espresso Ice Cream! I'm eating a large chunk of chocolate-chocolate cake from Whole Foods. Delicious!

Well I don't have the excuse of the (delicious sounding) ice cream but I'm up at 2:30 anyway. :

1 am here. And DH and I had an argument again tonight. Yippee.

I should have come on here instead of laying in bed last night. Finally got up at 4:30.

I think I got 2 whole hours of sleep last night! I'm perky enough now, but that little sleep doesn't bode well for my patience and temper this day.

Prodromal officially kicked in for me last night, too. Starting at around 7 pm, I was contracting regularly for most of the night. I guess it's good they're starting to cluster up, but could make for a long 1-3 weeks if this is how it's gonna be (again).

Oh, and boy am I glad we baked brownies last night. Gooey chocolate just WAITING for me downstairs. I definitely need it after reading this thread.

I can't tell you how many times I'll eat something loaded up with caffeine right before bed time.

Our friends didn't leave till about 2:30am, so after they left I had to spend hours cleaning.

I am sooooooooooo tired today. As soon as MT lays down for his nap (in like 15 minutes!) I'm going to let T play computer games for an hour or more so I can sleep. Good plan.....

My dh was ultra-fearful of the Wrath of the Overtired Preggo so he took the boy out all day and basically declared it the Day of Sleep for me. Oh, okay! Hahaha. I basically just woke up!

This may screw me tonight. It's amazing to see my feet in a mostly-normal state, though. So *that's* what it takes (I've been keeping them raised as much as possible during a normal day, taking supplements, drinking my water, etc. and they are still shiny balloon like things at the end of a regular day)...being bed-bound for an extended day! Not a realistic plan of attack, really!

I really really want something good and chocolate-y now.

I got all of 40 minutes sleep, and I was foggy all afternoon. But I had the presence of mind to skip my usual early afternoon coffee, and I'm hoping that will make a difference. Going to bed SOON...........
