I need some help mommas! Within the past couple of days my baby has turned herself into the posterior position.: Can anyone help me with ideas for turning her back to the anterior position?!

Thanks!

I think my baby keeps flipping back and forth so I've kind of given up (and last baby was born OP so I figure I'll just deal with it if that's how this one is presenting). But I did try the ice pack on my stomach with heating pad on my back and I think it worked once (I guess the idea is that baby doesn't like cold hands and feet???). The positions on spinning baby are too uncomfortable for me to do for long . Good luck!!

Mine just did the same thing yesterday. He/she was in perfect position for the last two weeks. (Sigh!) But I keep reading birth stories where the baby turns at the last minute, or even second. So I'm trying not to worry about it too much.

the baby will rotate during labor, if all progresses according to the baby's plan (in other words, if the membranes are ruptured artificially, or if inductive methods are used, it may not).

However, if you are concerned and want to try to get the babe anterior again, I have heard that relaxing in a warm bath while holding a package of frozen veggies on your belly will inspire the little one to flip away from the cold.

All of my babies were postierer, this one included. They all turned during labor, though I did experience a good amount of back pain when they did. I'm not looking forward to that part! Nothing I did while pregnant would turn them permanently.

Emerson was persistant posterier for a long time during pregnancy. I did lots of hands and knees and rocking hips. Lots of pelvic tilts and spent a lot of time in the pool floating on my stomach. Nothing seemed to work and then I went to the chiropractor just over a week before she was born. She then turned and was lying along the left side until she was born. She did turn during labor at some point.
I wasn't concerned I just wanted to avoid back labor since my others were all back labor! I had a car accident a few years ago and I didn't know how I would be able to handle back labor. So in the end it was the chiro that had her turn!

Thanks everyone! i'm checking out the spinningbabies and keeping positive thoughts about her turning during labor! I hadn't heard about the frozen peas and warm bath, etc. Worth a try!
