If you have morning sickness...

What foods are ok/edible for you? I'm looking for new ideas of what to eat, and it really seems that there are some common aversions/cravings among those who are constantly nauseous. It has been taking me FOREVER to decide what would be acceptable to eat for lunch/dinner, and inevitably I end up just skipping meals.

Well let me know when you get some ideas. I mean... I'm just : Ug. I can't find anything. I mean the idea of getting my DD cherios with milk made me queezy.

I found that it helped if I could eat anything right away, and then I was better prepared to move on to more appropriate foods. For awhile, the only thing I could stomach in the morning was potato chips (I've never liked potato chips before this!) and then once I got some of that down, I was ready to try eating real foods.

The only thing I can keep down is pizza. seriously. i'm just hoping i can handle a lot of different toppings, as it's clearly the only food i'll have for the next week or so.

It changes constantly. Yogurt kept me alive this week, and cold fruit does ok too. Sometimes cereal with milk... sometimes. Nothing cooked. I can't wait for my appetite to come back, the constant hunger paired with aversions to 99% of food is really getting old.

yeah that. have you tried unisom???? seriously, I never thought I would get that desperate to drug myself into eating but omg! my insurance won't cover zofran so I started on unisom(1/2tab) and sometimes all I need is one dose all day to be able to eat without vomitting. I'm absolutely miserable without it and like you I completely skip meals. I've heard from a very reliable source that plain white cake with white frosting is tolerable right away cold inthe morning and it gets your sugar levels up so you can actually eat good food. I'll be trying it today.

A cold glass of orange juice first thing in the AM is often the only thing that can get me through until I can have something to eat--both this pregnancy and last. I was much, much sicker last time than I am this time and honestly last time I could only eat without thinking about it at all, meaning someone had to prepare me something without asking me what I wanted and I would just eat it like a robot without thinking about what it was or what I was doing.

This time I found that high carb foods like cold cereal are the worst because they may have me feeling better for a short time but I will end up crashing and feeling even sicker within 20-30 minutes.

I found these expensive but tasty ready made egg/pita bread sandwiches at our local HFS and they are working out really well because I can microwave and eat them asap in the morning, they are full of protein and I don't have to actually cook or prepare them at all, which is hard to do when you are dry heaving in the sink.

Right now, it's a mix of half sprite, half gatorade, or half sprite, half lemonade.

I've become very solid food adverse lately.

I haven't been puky sick from m/s (and as I'm 10w1d I think I'm nearly through the danger zone), but when I get queasy I usually munch a few (four seems to be my magic number) potato chips (or crisps for those folks outside the US), and that calms my stomach down to be able to consider other foods.

I am rather distressed that everytime I open my spice cabinet my curry spice disagrees horribly with me.

For me, anything with a certain amount of saltiness. But then I never really know until I am faced with a food?
Just now, for breakfast i had some leftover chili I made the other day, with yogurt on top(plain) Very spicy, salty, grassfed beef in it.
For me, I have to have meat. I dunno why.....

Sweet things-not so much. Soda water is my friend too.

Indian food - Mexican food - just about anything SPICY!
Ice cream.

I find it helps if I eat protein first thing in the morning and stay well hydrated.

The only thing that doesn't seem yucky is fruit. But I can pretty much eat anything if I do it fast without thinking about it. Even if something seems gross, if I heat it up and start eating it anyway it's usally ok. It's the preparation and thinking about it that is so hard. Nighttime is worse for me than earlier in the day.

trader joe lemonade rocks .. and i have been eating bagels for breakfast

cranberry juice with crushed ice and baked potatoes are the healthiest things I can stomach right now. Some mornings I force myself to eat a scrambled egg because the protein is supposed to help...but I don't enjoy it one bit!

I am barely keeping down any food at all and have hypermesis again. I am just trying to stay hydrated. I can usually keep toast and cheese pizza down, but that's it.

If I'm nausous, I'll eat strawberry twizzlers...can't explain it but for some reason it works. If I' just feeling yucky, something soothing like strawberry-banana yogurt tames the hunger pains. I have also used candy cinnamon hearts in the past for severe nausea.
