Spoilers are hitting the net.

DO NOT POST THEM EVEN WITH SPOILER TAGS!!

No SPOILING!! Spoiling is Bad!!


If you spoil in a thread title we will do something icky. (don't know what yet as I have insomnia and am only one online IMO REALLY icky )



Keep this bumped please as no one tends to read stickies very well.

I got spoiled (a bit) and am feeling irritated. (about being spoiled)

I am bowing out of some of the HP threads due to this.

So, if we come across any spoilers for upcoming books or movies OTHER than Harry Potter, is it OK to post them without spoiler tags?

Wow all official and everything

I think if you don't want ANY spoilers you'd best wear a blindfold for the next week.... then read really fast....

I hate it when people post unofficial spoilers. It's one thing if JK tells us something, another if some security guard takes a bribe or something.

I have waited too long for this book to have it ruined!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was reading an article in the paper this morning about how people are planning to wear headphones and the like while standing in line for their HP because of the rash of people driving past bookstores shouting out the ending of HBP.

This is my bump for this most auspicious thread.

Spoil this book for me, meathead, and I'll hunt you down and make you wish I knew how to do the Crucio curse.

This is why I plan to avoid any and all things Harry Potter ('net-wise...like mugglenet, etc....hell, even slashdot is dangerous right now) until I finish reading the book. Dude, that's just asking for punishment.

That was said tongue in cheek.

I was trying to say that places like mugglenet are full of folks who want to do nothing but discuss HP, and spoilers are naturally going to come up there.

Slashdot is an uber geek community (I can say that because my dh frequents it...) that posts spoilers frequently to pretty much everything they can.

Some of the Harry Potter Boards are being very strict about spoilers and not allowing them at all. You are less likely to find Harry Potter spoilers on some of those. Leaky got sent a spoiler and they reported them to the authorities.

I uh..got spoiled on a totally unrelated game forum on a totally innocuous
titled thread. :

That's horrible!!!!!

I will have to start being more careful. I definitely am not even getting on the computer AT ALL until I finish Deathly Hallows.

It was horrible! I am SO MAD!

That might be a good idea, we (hopefully) won't have spoilers on here. But they are floating around.

Wanna hear something sad? I can't afford to BUY this book, so I signed up to have it on hold at the library- but I am not sure WHEN they will get it... so I will have to avoid the internet, tv, & people until who knows when. Poor Joe, he'll be the world's only 8 year old hermit.

A while ago, someone "claimed" to have hacked into the publisher's database and read DH... Are these recent spoilers something new/different, other than the Gabriel (or what ever the hackers name is) spoilers, does anyone know?

These are book *scans* of the epilogue.

While trying to find out if they are fake, I also found they had scanned some of the first pages of different chapters to show the pics, they also have the table of contents with all the chapter titles listed.

I am hoping it was just fanfiction with some mad photoshop skills.

I did send a rather irritated email to Bloomsbury and the pics are off the image hosting website they were on. (I tattle )

The Gabriel spoilers are on another thread here and they were made fun of, but this is way too spoiley for us to host.

OH NO!! Ugh- better call hubby at work and warn him to stay off the computer while at work. He's the one who read the Gabriel spoilers and told me about them... I wanted to cry, so I'm really, really hoping those were fake. If he reads these scans and tells me (or even HINTS) what happens, I'll have to Avada Kedavra him!
