OK, got the warning into DH. He tried to find spoilers on mugglenet and bloomsbury but couldn't find them, he thinks I'm lying. I hope he only trys to find them on "official" HP websites, so they will not be there. I swears not to spoil me. He says he still feels bad about the other spoilers

Well, tell him not to look.

IMO, the "epilogue scans" could be fake, very very easily.

But some libraries and bookstores will be getting them so we need to be more careful from here on out.

I'd be so mad if I went to pick up my book and someone shouted out spoilers. I think that I will pick up the book, rush home, and then not put the computer (tv, radio) on until I'm done reading.

What really annoys me is that JKR isn't giving out as many hints as last time.

I remember, pre-HBP, she had the door on her website unlocked, the "do not disturb" sign taken down, and she gave us a few teasers; a handful of chapter titles, a physical description of a new character (Rufeus Scrumgeour, but we didnt' know that at the time.) Why hasn't she done ANY of that for this book?

One of the reasons I'm NOT going to a bookstore party is because I don't want to be spoiled. I can totally see someone shouting out the ending after they get their book and I don't want to chance it.

The kids are spending the night at MIL's and DH and I are going to see OOTP. We may stop by Barnes and Noble WELL before midnight to catch the madness a bit. But I'm going to a regular store Saturday morning to pick mine up. I'm 6mo pg and don't think I can stay up reading all night!

i'm going to have to hermit up if i want to stay unspoiled too! i've toyed around with purposely looking for spoilers so i can read without mania, but i've decided against that now.

spoilers are wrong. just wrong. what is with people who would shout out the ending of the book to people waiting?

Of course, I have to wait a lot longer than a few more days.

But I'm Sooooo looking forward to reading it!! I was spoiled by something in the HPB thread, with out even realizing it. That was before I even started reading the books.

Yes, to get it on Saturday. Otherwise, super saver shipping is free for $25+ orders, but not for Sat. delivery. (With shipping, it was $21 and change.)

I am hoping it was just fanfiction with some mad photoshop skills.

I agree. I have a feeling at this point she jsut desperately wants to talk ALL about the books and is afraid something big will slip. 4 days, y'all!!!!!!!!!

I terrified of Anything right now. I got spoiled on Survivor 1 by flipping around TV waiting for the show to start. It was on headline news just as I hit that channel. I'm having my book delivered because I don't want to be spoiled like happened at HBP.

Abimommy, I think this needs to be a site wide warning.

My cousin said she and her son were watching some food eating contest on t.v. ( he is like 14, so this is cool stuff for him) and she said some guy in the audience had a poster board, flipped it over and it said " So and so dies!" I won't mention who it was, but I am hoping he was just being a jerk and doesn't really know what he is talking about.

And if he DOES know, WHY would anyone DO that???

This may have to be a no t.v....possibly a no computer week! I can't avoid the grocery store...Oh, and no looking at newspapers on the stands, or magazines covers on the racks...

Maybe I should just stock up on food and hole up here, until midnight on Friday...then go out with my ear plugs in, get my book and scurry home!

I KNOW I will end up skimming the book oh, too quickly!

I want to really enjoy it and I hope I am happy with the ending.

No you are not the only geeky couple out there.

Barnes and Nobel is delivering 2 copies to our home. Once the copies arrive we leave for a weekend of camping (read: reading HP) with friends and family who are also HP nuts. I estimate there will be about 6 copies of HP up there.

I've preordered from amazon... then I went and planned a trip out of town on Saturday... so my book will be delivered to my empty porch.... and I won't get to read it until I get back.

The sad thing is, if I want to stay un-spoiled, I'm going to have to read it real fast. But I want the last book to go on forever. I *want* to drag it out. :
