Hi! Wondering how all you pg mamas are feeling right now. It's the middle of July... it's gotta happen soon now! Just think... everyday that passes is one day closer to you seeing your new baby.

Has anyone heard from Shabazin? I wonder if she had her baby yet? Shit, Kalia probably would've fell out had I been wrestling sheep!

and where's nic?

Well, so far I feel GREAT today. DH and I got all made up. I woke up the usual 3-4 times last night, but had NO problem falling back asleep, so I'm caught up on sleep for the first time in a week, I think. Now THAT feels wonderful. DTD this morning. Generally I feel as energetic as anyone could possibly feel at 39 weeks lol.

So today would be a good day to have a baby.

(I think I might be feeling TOO good for it to be today, though. Also, DH had a chat with Jakey last night and says Jake told him he's coming out on July 18. That would be a good day, too - in fact, this would be a particularly convenient week, since the big girls start school two weeks from tomorrow. But we'll see.)

I'm here... hiding out. I'm so happy everyone is popping out their little ones but I'm so uncomfortable I'm finding it difficult to say much lately. I hope all this discomfort means something, does something.

Aidan has a pretty high fever, motrin didn't even touch it. I'm a little worried about him but he's handling being sicky quite well. I need to run out to the store to pick up a few things. I'll be around.

I'm still here! Tomorrow's our big day unless the little guy decides to throw us all off by coming today. We should be holding our sweet baby sometime tomorrow afternoon/evening.

DH and I have been DEEP cleaning our house the past two days -- I'm talking ceiling fans, couch cushions, everything. I swear you could roll a piece of food into a far corner of our kids' bathroom and still eat it. Hopefully I won't have to do any major cleaning for a couple of weeks now.

We're also going grocery/household shopping today and buying lots of quick & easy food so we won't be tempted to eat fast food every meal after we get home from the hospital.

I can't wait until tomorrow! I'm not even nervous yet, just excited.

Today is my due date! Yesterday I had ctx that were almost exactly 11 min apart the whole day but they died down overnight (as I thought they would since they weren't that painful). I feel well rested in spite of all the contractions, which is great and so different from last time around when I was worn out by all the prodromal labor. We're about to go on a walk this morning to see if we can get them going again. Hopefully my body is gearing up for a birth today or tomorrow! :

Also, my SIL seems to be doing better with her preterm labor :. Her contractions seem to be under control with the procardia and the hospital sent her home yesterday, so I'm taking that as a good sign and hopefully the babies can stay in for another week or two (we're hoping she can make it to 34 wks at this point). Please keep her in your thoughts if you can!

Oh, Heather I'll definitely keep your SIL and those babies in my thoughts,*keep cooking little ones*.

Nic, I hope both you and Aidan feel better soon.

rosadesal - It's so hard waiting!

I'm 40 weeks today. I was kept up all night by some very strange pains that I guessed were ctx, but not like any others I've had before. I maybe got 3 hours of sleep through it all until they finally seemed to die down this morning some time. I feel wrung out though. Tried to sleep more this morning but the kids kept making noise or having tantrums or whatever, so it's a lost cause.

Oh, and through all of the ctx, I tried to wake my DH a few times and he wouldn't wake up! I'm a little worried about that. He cannot function at all without sleep and I want him available as my labor partner, since he said we couldn't afford a doula this time. Oh well, poor me, right?

Today's my due date too. I'm not feeling anything significant. Josh keeps predicting Monday and my dh asked if I could have labor thoughts all weekend so he doesn't have to worry about it at work. His parents were up this weekend too, so it would be convenient on several accounts.

Baby's not cooperating though

I keep telling everyone, baby will come when baby's ready.

Heather- My sil was in preterm labor with her trips pretty much from month four on. She had shots, all kinds of meds, full bedrest, and she actually kept them in for 35 weeks (maybe just one day shy). It is possible, and we will keep her in our thoughts.

There are quite a few that seem missing, but I can't think right now. We did manage to get to church for just the second time in about 3-4 months. Yea! Ds was promoted to a new Sunday School class so he is in with his best friend for the first time ever. He was covered in marker when we got him, but he had a blast. It was nice to actually go to Sunday School and service today, and I took advantage of the nursing room. which has been seriously upgraded since I nursed Benji there. They have several rockers and nursing stools, and they now have a tv that shows the service rather than just the audio. I wouldn't mind nursing in the actual service, but those chairs are so much more comfy than the hard pews. Is that bad for the cause? Oh well!

We all kind of got naps today, too. I feel bad because I didn't quite wake up when Benji was getting into all kinds of trouble, but now dh and Bella are napping. It all works out...maybe.

Hello, all... I am just checking in... this morning I posted that I had a belly ache and felt odd, and am now in the throes of stomach flu (2 bouts of throwing up, 10x each-- yuk, with the runs all day, and now a low grade fever). To add to the intensity, I have had ctx. between 5-10 min. apart all day long, except for the last hour or so (OB said immodium might slow them down-- good by me!). So, I have no energy, and could really use some positive vibes from you mamas that this little guy will stay in there a few more days so that I can recover and be ready to help him out! Well, wish I had more to share and offer all of you, but I am beat. Thanks for any good thoughts you can spare! (I don't mean that you have to write me... virtual thoughts/prayers are fine, too!). Take care! michelle

bluebird68 I hope you feel better soon and that your baby stays in until you are recovered. My mw told me once that your body will know when you are ready for the baby and that they rarely come when you are sick... hope that's true!

I have had almost no contractions all day today, in spite of my fairly regular 11 min apart ctx yesterday... a little frustrating, but I'm trying to keep the attitude that this baby will be here sometime very soon and I just have to be patient. We did a lot of fun family activities today and had a very nice day with just the 3 of us, though of course I kept seeing people with little babies and wishing that ours was here!

Thanks for the positive thought for my SIL. She'll be 33 wks this week so at least we're out of the micro-preemie concerns, and that's actually about the average gestation for triplets (though obviously not ideal!). She was really hoping to make it to 36 wks originally, but now her goal is 34, which is hopefully doable.

Hope this is the week for the rest of us!

I am STILL AWAKE. GRRRRRRR

I'm going out tomorrow to buy some Calms Forte. I'm out of Unisom, and Tylenol PM doesn't do a damn thing for me. I"M TIRED.
here, but hoping to not be soon. I have been having contractions for about 4 hours now and they are now about 4 minutes apart. Not terribly strong but enought to keep me from sleeping. I am going to browse the net a bit, try to sleep again and then try the tub. Hopefully they will either pick up in intensity or go away. This prodromal stuff is soooooooo annoying. And tiresome. will update you later if I go into full blown labor (heres to hoping: )

Woah Bethany it's late for you mama! I hope you get some rest soon darlin.

Aidan is perking up again, poor little guy has been up and down all day. Of course he decides to perk up when I'm getting ready to lay down. I usually don't have problems with him going to sleep though.. I lay down so does he.

Good luck meagansroses-- I hope this is it for you!!
nope, not labor: just more prodromal hell: My midwife is coming at noon today and I am debating whether to have her check me and see if this false labor is actually doing anything to help me out! I don't know? So what does everyone have planned for today? I am going to:

wash the sheets on my bed and remake it for the delivery
wash a load of jeans
go swimming (if the sun comes out)
wash my kitchen floor

That's probably it... unless I can squeeze a nap in!!

38.5 weeks here and also battling sickness in the house. DS came down with fever and nasty cold on Friday, and it was the same all weekend. Now my throat is feeling scratchy and I'm trying my best to fight it. Sleeping has been difficult though, so I'm sure it'll get to me.

Started feeling mild menstrual-like crampiness over the weekend as well. Nothing regular or intense, but started me to worrying that this babe would come when someone in the house was sick. I'd also like to keep him in until later this week when I've got my work assignment done! Any suggestions for DISCOURAGING labour??? :

Yep, super late. I got to sleep sometime after midnight, but only after I laid down on the floor in my bedroom. I woke up around 1, got back into bed and then woke up again at 4 to pee. Up for good at 6. I'm out in a few minutes to buy some Calms Forte, and I might even do a glass of wine tonight if I'm still wide awake at midnight again.

Glad Aidan is feeling better. MT's temp is gone, but he's walking around fussing and whining. Literally, that's all he's doing. Tim's not helping - he has afternoon daycamp this week, and he's just teasing and taunting Mark to no end.
