I'm up again. Calms isn't working tonight, damn it. :

Ctx's every 10 minutes or so for an hour, then they stop, then they start again....I've never had anything like this. It's pissing me off, I just want to have the freakin' kid in my arms and be done with this.

omg bethany we are in the same boat!
last night i could NOT freaking sleep. i got maybe a total of 3 hours of fitful sleep all together, but not at once.
today i have had TONS of really strong contractions, even a few hours of pretty regular contrax.... then. NOTHING.
trying nipple stim for the past two hour. my poor poor breasts!!!!!
i am SO ready. and i want this baby OUT! no longer feeling bittersweet, she needs to come out.

I am up for the 4th time tonight- it is only 2:30! I was really hoping that when i came out to the living room it would be 4 or 5 in the morning. I hate not sleeping! The pinched nerve in my back had really been feeling better, but I moved poorly in my sleep and the horrible shooting pain is back We went to a party last night for DH work. I met a bunch of folks who were pregnant or just had babies- it was great I think there may be some friends for me from the group. Unfortunatly, now I have a screaming headache- I am being watched for high BP so I probably spent too much time outside in the heat without my feet up- or I am just getting a head cold because I am not sleeping. argh. It is time to be done being pregnant!!!

I could handle the end of pregnancy a LOT better if it wasn't for this insomnia crap. It's SO WRONG.

Because I labored for 39 hours with pit with my first dd, and only dialted to 1cm. then long story , I was scared out of a vbac with dd2and had a c/s, then I tried to vbac with my son and 29 hours of labor at home, I started getting dizzy with contractions so I went to the hospital and my bp was off the charts, ds's heartrate was dipping VERY low and I wasn't dialted at all. SO I don't think I want to attempt that again. My cervix just doesn't dialate.


My contractions have stopped, well not completely, but Im no longer having them every hour like I was earlier in the week.

I've been having contractions on and off all morning. But then last Saturday I had them for six hours and then they just went away. So I'm not getting my hopes up.

Besides, my midwife is away for the weekend (I could call her to come if I need to, but it's an hour and a half drive), dh is at work (an hour away) and my mom is at some crab feast thing. So the baby might come today, since no one's around.

i came out of the bedroom this morning to find DH had left on the screen of the computer a google search for natural induction methods. :
guess i really am not the only one who wants this baby born!

Thats so cute! He was probably looking for the proof that lots of sex helps things along!

I cannot even imagine having sex at this point. I wish we could, I'm sure it would really get things going, and I might just have to shut up and do it in the next day or so. But wow, I'm so incredibly sore and swollen..........even the idea of it makes me hurt.

Tiffany, are you doing anything like primrose oil? I'm probably going to start that on Monday night.

with the prostiglandins in the semen i am not doing EPO.
i too am swollen and sore. i need to medicate before we have sex so its not that painful. and we use LOTS of coconut oil as lube, and i make him spend extra time and attention on the girl parts before we even THINK about intercourse.
but really i only get a cervical application every third time, the rest has been oral.
NOT my favorite flavor of the month. . but hopefully it will get the job done.

The thought of oral right now just turns my stomach... we've been having sex but not every day. He's so not into it that frequently even when I'm not pregnant. I'm not sure it's really done much of anything but I can always hope right?

yeah oral turns my stomache too. but i have been taking one for the team almost every night to make sure i get those prostiglandins working around in my system.
i wish i could reach around my belly far enough to check my own cervix.
but alas i can barely wipe properly these days.
we did my belly cast the other day. OMG its HUGE. and already doesnt fit back on, she just keeps getting LOWER and LOWER, it almost makes my tummy look smaller how low she is.

I suppose I could start EPO tonight, it won't work that fast, I'd imagine?

well i've been downing the prostiglandins from DH for over a week, not a huge improvement as far as i know.
why not start EPO tonight it shouldnt be too fast acting.

I thought the baby would come today..but so far just contractions that stop. This gives me more time to make food and freeze it for post partum, get stuff finished that I need to finish, get the house done, etc. I just hope I don't go late...I had PTL and thought I'd be early..ha I guess not! Lucky for me most people don't call and ask me stuff.

seriously. DONE.
i am not going to get my hopes up again til either my water breaks or i start pushing involuntarily, cause hours upon hours of contrax that feel like some hard labor... then just STOP. not my idea of fun. so from now on i treat everything like its a fakeout.
