Well- I was just starting to despair, but my water broke! I had just had the midwife over again to listen to the baby, and I asked her to sweep my membranes. She did so and then left, and very soon afterwards I was thinking well maybe I'll sit down and use the breast pump for a while for some nipple stimulation, and then I got a little stronger contractions tahn I'd been getting and then felt a warm wet feeling that I was pretty sure was not pee. Nope- water broke. And right afterwards I started feeling more contractions. They're nothing real intense yet, but they are more noticeable than what I was having before. I don't think the midwife stripping membranes is what broke it either, because I have been getting closer and closer to labor (I am 42 weeks tomorrow), and I think her doing that just encouraged things-
: Well I ought to go and see what I can do to get this baby moving- I would really like to be too busy having a baby to post again later
Ps- I have my birth beads out to look at and remind me I can do this

: Alissa, you can do this! And you'll be awesome! Looking forward to an update. Strong, peaceful labor to you!
