What have you made or purchased already for this baby?

I am wondering what everyone has already made or purchased for this baby?

-After finding out it was a girl, I went a little overboard with the clothes! I can't stand pink or purple so I bought almost everything I saw that was girlie in blues, greens, oranges, reds, etc. They are adorable clothes, though, but I didn't mean to buy that much!

-I bought the diapers I needed to complete our rotation from DS. 12 Bum Genius, since we already have 3 others and also a lot of small Fuzzi Bunz and a good stash of medium ones as well.

-A few washcloths. Not sure why I bought those! Oh and a bib.

-I'm looking into what sling I want to buy now so that will probably be next.

I'm wondering what everyone else has already aquired, or am I the only one starting early? (we do have a lot left from DS as far as equipment so don't need to buy that kind of stuff)

I have:

3 diaper covers, and 2 more on the way.
2 pairs of soft sole shoes
1 nursing pillow for use in the bed (it lights up)
a few outfits
Double stroller
Fleece pouch sling from dd that I will likely not be using except on walks (double layer fleece- it gets waaaaay hot!)
1 kissaluv 0
I have 3 fitteds and one AIO from My Precious Baby by April on layaway at Snooty Booty diapers

I have been trying not to buy much since I hope to get most everything we need from our showers, but a few things have slipped by:

A boppy
A portable changing pad
Some hooded towels and bath mitt
Humanity Family Bed

Not a thing! Waiting until our ultrasound in a couple of weeks. I still have 23 weeks - plus I like to buy online as I go after the baby is born. Nothing like receiving packages from UPS every day

I've gotten diaper covers and prefolds, my carriers a few cute onesies from babyGap, I couldn't pass up that are gender neutral and I think that's it. I've splurged already more cause of the timing, we still have to buy Christmas presents from everyone and I don't want to go broke having to buy those and buy the baby supplies that are necessities. I'm still having to get the birth tub, we're just renting one and then my birth kit, but I think I can turn those into the flex account to get reimbursed. At least I'm hoping so.

nothing.

I bought a onsie that says "I heart mommy" in tattoo lettering the day after I got the positive result. The guy who sold it to me was actually the first person I told I was pregnant.
I'm doing lots of online browsing and list compiling, but I haven't started shopping yet. All the lists y'all are posting are really helpful in figuring out what I'll put on the registry. I figure I'll get a lot of stuff from all the showers. I'm the first in my group of friends to have a kid, plus it's the first grandbaby and the first baby at the office in about ten years, so I feel like I'm birthing the village baby.

I've only purchased a mei tai. We've set money aside each time we want to spend something so that when baby is born and we know the gender- we can take a shopping spree. Otherwise we are pretty much covered for the first month... except for newborn fluffy diapers!

I bought some really cute neutral receiving blankets (because everything my daughter got was pink/purple, of course) and I bought a bib that says "I love my big sister"...so far thats it, and I'm pretty set for everything else. I may need a few more winter outfits for him but thats all.

I absolutely would have bought tons of goodies by now, I LOVElovelove cruising thrift stores for baby & kid stuff bargains. But we've not had the extra money at all for me to go do it! And I've been craving collecting some newborn stuff (& a dresser to put it all in!) so I can gaze at the cute little things.... BUT, dh did just get a ginormous raise last week! YAY! So there's hope that I can go get my newborn goody shopping obsession under way soon. PLUS, GEEeeZ I need some maternity clothes!! I borrowed most of mine during my last pregnancy, & much of what I own I can't breastfeed in. I end up wearing my pajama pants far too often.

OMG! The thought of buying a little bib or shirt that says "I love my big brother/sister" makes me want to cry! How totally sweet & cute!! I totally have to get one now.

All I've bought so far is fabric to make my diapers... unfortunately, I haven't purchased elastic or aplix yet, so I can't actually start making them...

nothing. I am now starting to get rid of clutter so that we have room for the baby stuff. I probably won't buy anything until August 9, when I find out the sex of the baby.

3 pairs of chinese brocade slippers and one sleeper.

Our big u/s isn't until the middle of August, so I feel like I can go crazy after that (and after finances are finally sorted...) My mom bought the new baby a crib, and a bunch of cute little sleepers, though, so it's not like she's totally bereft of material love. (Well, the crib is really for my DS, who broke a freakin' slat out of his current crib, the dork... but if new baby weren't on her way, we would have just gotten a toddler bed.)

* rip loads of baby clothes and diapers from ebay/hyenacart
* knitting blankets, hats, sweaters, pants, etc.
* hmmm, I know there's more, but I can't think of it right now!

I bought alot of used Bummis covers when I found out. I bought them from a mom I was already buying larges from and she gave me a great deal for all of it. I just bought some preemie and infant pfs. That is it. I don't plan on buying any more than I have to. i have a friend that will give me everything I need if it is a girl and if it is a boy then we will have to deal with that then.

Well last night my mom bought us the carseat we needed for dd! It's a $280 seat (Radian80) and she found one that had been purchased and just didn't fit in the woman's van. It was 2 weeks old and no box, so she sold it to us for $75. While we were checking it out to see if it would fit in our car properly, the lady also showed my mom a Chicco KeyFit infant seat she had for $45 that was pretty much brand new as well (her youngest was special needs and they went through a lot of carseats finding one that worked for him). So my mom bought that for this baby. Which means that instead of DH and I having to shell out $300+ for carseats for both kids (dd was outgrowing her carseat we had for our car), we just have to pay $140 for bases for the Chicco seat!

I just sold a bunch of Bummis covers and prefolds for $100, so now I have that money to spend on diapers for the new baby as well. Off to diaperswappers I go!

I just bought a mess of prefolds, too... I'd been waiting and waiting for a coop to pop up and when it did I figured I'd best jump on it, because there's no assurance that my regular coop peeps will be doing another one before this babe shows up.
