What have you made or purchased already for this baby? - Page 3

I haven't bought or made anything yet! I have a list started, but nothing checked off yet. I need to get some yarn dyed and start crocheting. I need to buy some more yarn (most of what I have on hand is wool, and I want to use a synthetic to make an easy-care baby afghan), but I know that dh will look at me cross-eyed if I buy more yarn.....all he sees is that my stash is beginning to spill over into his side of the closet!! So, I have to wait until payday at the very least.

I've done a bit of sewing, but not for the baby. Made a couple slings--one for my SIL and one for a friend who has an infant foster-child. I want to buy fabric to make a new sling for the baby, but dh is the same way about fabric as he is about yarn. Plus, I just can't decide what sort of fabric I want this time around. I'll just have to keep looking until I find some fabric that I fall in love with!

I'm making a beautiful rust/gold/red brocade mai tei with rust-colored trim. i've never sewn before in my life, so hopefully the finished product is as beautiful as the fabric.

I also plan to make some diapers and blankets.

the only thing we'll be buying is a carseat.

I bought a twin stroller, (sit n ride) but it's mostly for my 2 yr old and 4 yr old, because the baby will be worn for a while.

I also bought an EllaRoo wrap. just for fun. I didn't want anyone but me to have it when I saw it in the consignment shop, so I bought it to hoard. It's aloe colored and very breathable with decorative fringe.

I might try making some ring-slings if this whole sewing thing works out for me. I'm starting to love fabric.
