Who's still nursing at night? - Page 2

Ds is 20 months and he usually nurses when I come to bed (at 11 or 12), at around 5am, and sometimes once in between.

Dd2 is 31 months and will wake 2-5 times a night. Still. :yawning:

ds is in my bed at night so I have no idea how often he nurses cause I'm passed out but I usually wake for a few seconds a few times a night & see him latched on

ds#2 is 25mo, and nurses most of the night. he helps himself if i'm asleep, so i can't say exactly how "often" it is. but i suspect he is latched most of the night. i would like for him to move towards nightweaning himself, cause baby#3 is coming in january, and i worry about how i will get any sleep at all.

DS is 18 months. He wakes up maybe twice a night. (sometimes many times a night but an average night is about twice.

Well DD still nurses to bed(she is 20mo). But she only wakes to nurse if she has a bad dream, is teething, wet a diaper....etc. She really hasent woken at night to nurse regularly in like 9 months or so.

DD is 16 months and she still nurses pretty frequently at night. On a very good night, she will only nurse twice. Typically, she nurses 3-4 times. On a bad night, she will wake three trillion times to nurse. It seems that the bad nights are far outnumbering the good nights, and I need to do something about that. I'd be THRILLED beyond belief, if she only nursed 1-2 times a night.

Exactly my situation! It doesn't really bother me, but I would like to think it'll wane by the third year mark. I am interested to see so many people posting that their younger child is nursing less than mine at night. I am hoping I won't have to do anything to night wean him, that he cuts down on his own.

DD is 19 months and nurses 4 times a night.

Ds is 22 months and nurses at least 5x per night.:yawning:

DS is still nursing at night 2-6 times a night and still goes through some nights were he just wants to suckle all night long. He is 23 months.
Very tired here. I have tried night weaning a few times, but he just is not ready..........My dd2 was the same way, but she did stop so there is hope

My youngest will be 3 in October, and he just started sleeping through the night most nights. Before that, he woke to nurse at least 2-3 times per night. On the rare night when he wakes up, I still nurse him back to sleep.

dd is 19 mo and nurses between 3 and 3 million depending on whether teething or not. ds slept really well around his second year.

oops, didn't see this post before i made mine!

my son's 14m & he still wakes up every 2 hrs to nurse...

My daughter is 3, and my son is 18 months old; both of them nurse at night - we sleep together. The three year old sometimes nurses less, sometimes more, but is nowhere near weaning yet.

Dd is almost 26 months and wakes 4-5 times a night to nurse. She is pretty much continously latched on from 4am to 6am but I guess I'll only count that as one nursing session

DD is almost 3-1/2 years old and still nurses at night. Since we're late night people, she tends to wake up if I haven't come back to bed yet. Often, it just takes a minute or two, but she still wakes at times and she does still nurse at night. Nursing at night isn't even the thing that is wearing on me these days. It's that sometimes it still seems that she thinks my sitting down at the computer is an invitation to come up and nurse.

When we're very busy, visiting family, she doesn't even think of nursing until it's time for bed.

Trying to wean, and it's happening gradually. I wonder if her having her own sleeping space will help things along

Oh so nice to see I am not alone, I feel like a pacifier at night. DD is 11 mths old and it seems she gets to midnight - 1 am then the rest of the night she has to nurse, once I think she is asleep and try to put her down she cries. I don't know what to do. I know she is teething, and when a tooth comes in strong she won't eat at all. The Dr. said thats fine as long as she is nursing but my boobs start to hurt after a while. Sorry if to much info.

Same here, although DD is only 16 months old. Fortunately I have no problem sleeping through the all-night nursing, although it wreaks havoc on my back and hips to sleep on my side for so long.

The back pain is the hardest part of night nursing for me. Sometimes it takes as little as an hour to stretch out the kinks and other times I get to keep them for a few days. Luckily the long lasting kinks are happening less and less.
