I went in for my NST and the nurse that I saw said that she didn't think it would be much longer with all the Braxton Hicks that I was having that showed up on the monitor. So, I'm crossing my fingers and toes that maybe this week will be it! :

Hey, your due date is two days after mine! How come you're coming so early?!?!

I've been having tons of B-H too, but nothing feeling at all productive (not that I have any way of knowing if I'm effacing or dilating ... but, I was looking toward the full moon at month's end).

Good luck!

Sounds like good news.....though don't count on it I've been having frequent BH for 4 weeks and nothing going on here yet! At my last NST I was having them every 7-10 minutes and in the "90s" on the machine which are supposed to be 'real'. But no cervical changes and babies are happy to just hang out longer which is a good thing

Don't tell me that!!!! Mine have been quite painful lately so I am hoping I am having the real thing.

Make sure you stay very well hydrated. CX while dehydrated are unproductive.

Hopefully that nurse was right! I've been having very intense and productive BHs for several weeks (and I'm 3.5 cm and almost totally effaced) but alas, no labor . . . maybe some of us will be making birth announcements soon!

Same here. This is my fifth baby, I have tons of bh, and I know this baby is not coming anytime soon. I want a healthy full term baby, even though I am in pain, and lots of it, I'll hold her in for the next 4 weeks if I have to. LOL

Well, my ultrasound last week said he was over 7 pounds.... I don't really think that is premature. All of my babies have come early, so I am just hoping this on will too. He is going to be the biggest, no doubt about it. All the rest were 6 pounds or under.

prematurity isn't based soley on weight, but it is your baby, and your body, and your choice mama. Sorry if I offended you.

mommysusie, your babe could still be just 6 lbs US over 6lbs estimated weight is up to 1 lb in either direction off....so could be 8 lbs too

I agree mamamoo. My second was a 7 lbs 14 oz weeker who ended up in the NICU for 3.5 weeks, 10 days on the vent. He had to be life flighted shortly after birth. His lungs just weren't ready. He'd likely have gone until 41 weeks or more. They said his lungs were more like 34 weeks despite his size.

Near the end it gets SO hard to wait for babies to come!!!! We are going to have a rush of them pretty soon I think!

Wow, Sorry about that, My twin girl was rushed away shortly after birth too because she had fluid around her heart. It was heartbreaking to be away from her for that long.
I saw my doctor for my appt yesterday and they are planning an amni on Tuesday to test lung maturity if I haven't gone into labor by then. If everthing comes back ok, then we are looking at Thursday or Friday next week for my csection then.
