Anyone lost their mucus plug yet?

I think I just lost my mucus plug. I don't recall this happening with my first two, so I surfed the net & looks like even though you loose your mucus plug you can still go a few days to a few weeks before baby comes...

What's been your experience?

i lost mine over a week ago i do believe. and nothing. : ) some nice strong BH today. but still nothing "for real". and apparently, i've read somewhere, (not to say it's true cuz you sure can't believe everything you read..) that your mucus plug can regenerate as well.

with ds i lost it in one big chunk about 2 weeks before the birth. i found it to be aptly named - it looked like a plug made of mucous.
this time i've suddenly had a dramatic increase in the amount of crotchsnot i'm producing, and i'm wondering if it's just another way of losing the plug. it's much grosser. i guess i'll find out in the next few weeks.

I had tons of "crotchsnot" last wednesday with some blood in it. I'm 38 weeks today and still pregnant. It really got my hopes up.

I've been losing bits of mucus for days now too. And it is true that your body keeps on producing it in gobs, so... look out for more "crotchsnot".

Ewww, josybear! (But a very good description!)

Sister, you just keep me laughing all the time!! :

I think that's happening to me as well. I've been pretty um, juicy, lately. It's really gross.

What a perfect, descriptive name for the lovely discharge at this point in pregnancy.

I think we've found our word of the week!!

I have always lost my plug in bits and pieces...This time it is BIG chunks daily, mixed with lots of the previously mentioned crotchsnot. And frequent cervical twinges (the ones that make you do a strange little dance) Oh the indignities of being 9 months pregnant

It's not the discharge that's funny, it's your word choice. You definitely have a great way of expressing yourself!

Well, it's much more descriptive than "discharge", isn't it?

I've been very moist for weeks -- the kind of moist that drips down the legs or leaves a wet spot on the back of your nightgown when you sit down. But, it is just regular stuff, not mucus.

I am pretty sure I haven't lost my mucus plug yet.

First of all, I LOVE the term "crotchsnot" and will use it at every opportunity now (not that there are THAT many opportunities, but I'll find them!).

Second, there is more thick, vaginal discharge (or crotchsnot) at this point in pregnancy. It's not the mucus plug, just another sign of hormones changing.

Third, I've had more crotchsnot than usual too.

Yeah, more crotch snot here too. I have to wear a pad it's so bad.

with dd's birth I lost it in one huge piece. I was laboring in the shower and managed to look down and see this huge piece of *something* hanging out of my hoo-ha. A few contrax later it came all the way out. It looked like a tampon sized piece of solid snot. Very strange.

I'm not due for another 6 weeks, but I have a cold/cough and last night I actually coughed so hard I dislodged my mucus plug. I can't decide if I need to worry about it, but I guess my only worry is that I'll cough hard enough to break the bag of waters now that there's not plug there to support it.

If it really wasn't ready to come out, your mucus plug will reform. I originally lost mine in April durring a bout with perterm labor. I lost it again Sunday and Monday of this week.
