Constipation?

For the first time ever, I think my little one had a bit of constipation today. He was making his "pooping face" (lol) and then let out a cry. When I changed his diaper, I noticed it was very firm.

My ds is almost 11 mos. old. What can I give him to get things moving again? He has never experienced constipation before.

I don't have any experience with this because dd is almost exclusively bf but could you feed him some prunes. Either baby food prunes or regular prunes that are cooked so they are soft. Or maybe some prune juice? HTH
