What do you think - child's pattern to an adult size?

So I have this pattern: http://www.sewbaby.com/big/patterns10_/sb-10.html

My daughter has, oh, eight or nine of them that she wears as shirts/shirt-dresses. I would *love* to have one for myself. They seem so light and airy and I have just the linen to make it in. (The picture isn't great but it's one piece cutout with straps that crisscross in the back and button at the shoulders)

Do you think I could wing a pattern just like this or would the chest (I'm average to large busted) not work without darts?

Thanks for any thoughts!

I think anyone standing behind you would get a really clear view of your boobs if you bent over. have you looked into apron tops? Some of these don't look too hard http://champashop.safeshopper.com/67/cat67.htm?532

Yowzers! I hadn't thought of that and you're *so* right. On to plan b... I've also contemplated a pillowcase dress/shirt. Oh the possibilities! Thanks!

::nort::

I think there are some good simple patterns that you might use, such as an empire waist dress that would go nicely. I have seen some great ones at Joann's, with tank tops and full skirts.
