check off lists to help me remember supplies?

Anyone use a check off list or a par list to keep track of what you need to take with you to births? Or when to reorder? Since I have a bit (OK, alot) of ADD, I am a big list maker. Right now, I am trying to come up with some sort of check list to make sure I have everything I need, since I notoriously forget something at each birth and at some prenatals.

and then, I have to decide where to keep my check off list so I don't lose it!

thanks!

I think it is a great idea. I have seen another midwife do something like that.

I don't but my memory is slipping so good idea to have some lists-- maybe a sticky that you write down used supplies on when doing your paperwork at a birth- so you can keep count without going over every bag every time.

I have a laminated supply list at the office with a dry erase marker attached to it. Maybe you could make a list with checkboxes, then laminate it? It could be your "before the birth" list and then after the birth, you could re-check it and make a shopping list.

Something I do (and I'm not as busy as you, so this has worked for me so far) is just throw everything helter-skelter into my birth bag after the birth, but making sure I have it ALL at the same time. Then, when I get home and have gotten some sleep, I repack it and make a note of anything I used.

But even so, I ended up at a birth w/o a delee in March, and wouldn't you know, I NEEDED a delee at that birth!

Well, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has trouble remembering things. Charmie981, is your list on the computer? Maybe you could share it if it is?

I am going to work on my lists tomorrow, I have been out seeing clients all evening and may have a birth or two, but then I will post and maybe you can all offer suggestions/additions/etc.

nope, the supply list at the office is simply a blank page that I can write what I need on. I haven't done a list for my birth bag yet, but I'm sure thinking about it now .

Oh, do share, I love lists and love to see what others have on thier lists that I might be interested in carrying someday...

Great thread! Paige
