Weird Birth Dreams anyone?

I had a good one last night. I'm 35 weeks. I had a dream that DP and I were watching my stomach do it's little dance, which we get a kick out of many nights. But in the dream the face of the baby pressed up against my belly so hard you could make out the outline of a nose and chin and forehead. I know totally not possible, but it was a dream. Then all of the sudden I feel this rush, and the baby is coming out of me footling breach. and DP and I are a little freaked because it's early. So once she's out, it was a she, and she looked like she was about 9 months old, and skinny in my dream, DP and I are trying to stuff her back into me because we think it's too soon. And the baby is pissed, because it doesn't want back in. finally we realize how pointless it all is, and we weigh her and she's 7.5 lbs, and we were like "Oh no way, she is totally ready to be born, we must have been a month off in the EDD" and we stopped freaking out about it then. :

No weird birth dreams for me, just weird dreams in general. I wonder if these birth dreams have any meaning?

I don't remember the rest of the dream, but I do rememeber the number 9.5. I don't know if it means 9lb5oz or 9 1/2 lbs, but it was definitely a number for weight. I will be very surprised if baby is that big. DD was 7lb8oz, and I was only 7lb2oz. Dh was 9lb though, so possible I guess.

Ok, here's the WEIRDEST birth dream I've had.

I was visiting my parents several hours away. The baby was moving like crazy. It hurt and looked very, very odd. All of a sudden, my uterus ruptured and the baby slipped out of my uterus. She could be seen through my skin which was transparent because it was so stretched out. I ran to my mom, screaming "QUICK! GET THE SCISSORS! CUT RIGHT HERE!" She did and the baby came out. It was a little girl (we don't know the gender) and she was so petite and feminine looking. My mother called 911 who told her that I would have to go to the hospital. I got very upset and said "NO! I don't WANT to go to that hospital. I only want to go to my birthing center!"

Weird. And all of my dreams have been of a girl baby. It'll be interesting to see if that is correct or not.

Last night, I dreamed I was visiting my baby in NICU. He had very soft silky black hair. He was perfectly healthy, so I'm like, 'Why can't he come home?' He was breathing on his own, and eating, and making eye contact with me. Then he was on his feet and running down the hall. LOL

Then I had another dream last night where I found three tiny bird eggs on the ground. I brought them home and made a nest of dry grass and put them under a heat lamp. The next morning they were all hatched and had silky black down. I fed them Gerber baby oatmeal on a chopstick.

Now I'm trying to figure out the significance of the baby birds and my baby having the same hair. Maybe my baby will be born in three days. There is a full moon in three days - this Sunday. Which I didn't realize until this morning when I was thinking about the dreams.

I had a dream that I was at my daughter's preschool and families were swimming in a pond there. I looked down and noticed a huge watersnake that I thought might be poisonous in the water. I told the closest mom that I thought she should get out. The snake was very lethargic because the water was cold but we could see it was moving. I looked again at the water and my 2 y.o. ds had gotten and was swimming near the snake. I yelled for him to stop but he thought I was joking and kept coming closer so I jumped in the water and grabbed the snake and twisted it's head around and around and around. (Really violently) I could feel the bones in it's neck breaking. It was the huge mama adrenalin rush you get when you know your baby is in danger. I totally overdid it... the snake was so past dead when I finished.

And then I woke up.

What the h*ll??

not a birth dream... but weird anyway.

I just had my first birth dream last night. I'm 37 weeks.
Anyway. I dreamed that I had a VE (which I have not had any, and don't plan on it) and the midwife said I was 12cm : .... Evidently in my dream 14cm was full dilation. I ended up giving birth that night without hardly realizing it. It was like I was half sleeping while the baby slipped right out like it was nothing. Then I was just like "Oh, look, the baby's here!"
If only it would be that simple and easy in real life.

Not a birth dream, but last night I dreamed that my friend let me borrow her 5 month old to practice breastfeeding. We weren't having much success, but I guess my supply was good because I was spraying milk all over the place.

I had two strange birth dreams last night...

First one I actually woke DH up about and told him (don't think he remembered much in the morning, though!) We're planning a UC and, in the dream, I was sleeping, then woke up and knew I was in labor and the baby was almost there, I got into a squat and three contractions later the baby was out, a big healthy boy.

Later last night, I had another birth dream. This one, for some reason, I was at a birth center, and the baby was born (a girl) and she was very skinny, kind of frail, and wouldn't cry much. I remember having to wake her up to feed her and trying to keep track of her. Then later in the dream, I went to wake her up to feed her, and she wasn't where she'd been sleeping, and I kept looking and looking for her, and woke in a panic when I couldn't find her.

(And it's funny, my kids were at my mom's yesterday and they lost dd2's baby doll. My mom said good thing it's not a real baby, and dd1 said, "Yeah, but if it was a real baby we would have found it by now because it would be crying." Mom didn't tell me that story until today, though)

The dreams do make me more comfortable in my UC decision...but wondering about the rest!

I dreamt that somebody else had my baby for me! I couldn't get it straight whether it was my MIL or my mother's old friend, Anne. Everyone was saying "you must be so excited!" but I was actually upset and angry. My MIL and Anne thought I was very ungrateful for all their hard work. I hadn't even gotten a chance to see the baby and when I did I was pretty sure it couldn't be mine. It had long dark hair (dh and I are both fair with blonde hair and blue eyes) and it's finger and toenails were painted!! I was totally pissed. Who does that to a newborn?! Anyway, people asked me what her name was (it was a girl although we don't know the sex either) and I said "well I guess it's Tessa Cairn - which is the girl name we've settled on. She was a beautiful baby but so not mine.

Hmmm...:

I dreamed early on my preganancy that I had her peacefully in a Roman tub in a Roman era bath with candles and attendants in white togas. It was all at night, and it was very soothing. Back then I didn't know she was a girl, but she turned out to be (clearly) in two successive U/S. She looked chubby and similar to me and ds (tan skinned and a head full of hair).
