In the literature I've read breastfeeding is only a form of contraception if:

1) your baby is 6 months or younger
2) no supplements, no artificial nipples
3) your cycles haven't returned


I was lucky to have about 16 months before AF returned PP but was pregnant by month 17

We still have an unopened box of condoms that we planned on using after ds was born! So... I guess those don't really work for us anymore! I don't think my chemistry works with the BCP, I get depressed. Maybe the mini pill wouldn't affect me as much?
We're not positive about stopping at two children, so I guess the big v is out of the question for now.
Has anybody used the patch? I suppose it would be similar to using the bcp. But it sounds so easy!

We use FAM with the "pull out method." It works for us. Although dh is seriously considering the big V. I think he's wanting to stop at 2, which is ok with me. I could have one more, but it's not something that I HAVE to do. I just love babies, ya know?

Number three is what cracks me up though because I would be pregnant again before my cycles started...you can ovulate and get pregnant before ever having a full cycle, you know? But I guess the six month thing is important there. It would be fun to do a poll in TAO about this.

With our first baby we waited 2 weeks. With each baby after that it has gotten significantly longer.
