Help me figure out what's going on?

Basically wondering when to call my parents to come up because it's the real thing.

What did your OB say at the appointment? Did it seem like you were in early labor? Did s/he want to move up the c/s date?

It seems like you have ample reason to think that labor could be coming on between the symptoms and the early labor with your son ...

I would call my parents and explain everything that's going on, and let them decided whether they can/want to come early.

I agree with laboring as long as you can before going in, and also letting your parents know what's going on so they can decide. If I were your parents, I would totally not mind coming early and waiting around rather than risk missing the birth! Maybe they feel the same way?

I told them, and they're basically waiting for me to decide when I want them there. They don't really mind coming early, but they take care of their own parents on the weekends, so coming now would mean my grandma and grandpa miss out on an extra weekend with them (and my uncle has to do extra helper duty).

My OB basically said, "if you go into labor for real, just go to the hospital and we'll do the c/s then. Otherwise, hang out at home and count contractions."

I'm leaning toward telling my parents to leave tomorrow morning (to arrive Friday evening), unless the contractions go away completely tonight.

you could ask them to come then ensure that you have a baby right away when they arrive - drink rrl tea with pennyroyal, do all that stuff.

I told them to go ahead and come. They'll be here late afternoon tomorrow.

I think it was the right choice because I'm contracting like crazy this morning. Trying to take it easy and make it to when they get here.
