How do you get a free cellphone? When yours breaks just go without any cellphone until your brother is so bothered by it he gives you one! 
My bro worked at a cell company, so when I moved this way he set me up with his secondary phone line which he got through work and we scrounged an old phone of my parents. (Free phone #1) Then, he upgraded his razr to a new one and gave me his old one as my first one was acting up (Free phone #2), then I accidentally got that one wet, so I just haven't had a phone. It bothered him so much today he called me to tell me he left a brand new phone for me at my parents. (Free phone #3!) He was sick of not being able to get a hold of me.
He carries two phones with him at all times, he couldn't STAND that I didn't have one. I get the service through him too, I think I'm a second line on his phone or something. I love free cell service! Score!
(I don't use the phone much as you can tell heh)
ETA - I called my brother from the phone to thank him and asked him what it cost him, turns out it cost $30 so I offered to pay that. So, its a $30 phone on a free service plan. What a frugal flop!
