When using coupons...

how do you know if the store will take doubles?
I haven't been an avid coupon user but do use them when I can.
Where are some good places to find coupons? Our local Sunday paper usually has things we don't buy but want to find coupons for things we ofte use.

I was referred to www.hotcouponworld.com by another user here. It is a plethora of coupon info! You can look up the FAQs for just about any grocery/drug/big box store. There you can find out the store coupon policy. I have saved hundreds of dollars on stuff we use in just a few weeks.

As for where to get coupons, the Sunday paper is great. Usually the first Sunday of the month, Procter and Gamble puts out their insert, which is chock full of great coupons for stuff like Tide, Secret, Pampers (if you use sposies), Pantene, etc. If a paper has especially good coupons, I usually pick up a few extra. If you combine them with store sales, you can get really great deals.

Also, check out the websites of your favorite products. Many of them either have coupons available or have email/mail lists you can sign up on. Then they will send you coupons or product samples.

Check out the stores you shop at. Target has lots of store coupons available online, and you can combine them with a manufacturer coupon to save even more.

www.smartsource.com has lots of coupons online. They are the distributor of one of the main coupon inserts in the papers. And, frequently you'll see blinkies or tear off sheets in the stores. If it's something you'll use, it's okay to take a few. I wouldn't take them all though.

One word about internet coupons - unfortunately, not all stores will accept them, so you may want to check out your local stores' websites or call them up and see what their policy is.
