Has anyone used it? What's your thought on it? I would love to be able to look at the curriculum but no where around here has it. I have received several different packets from different companies and they seem set up the way I want it set up where I can keep my 5 & 4 YO on the same pace(my 4 YO catches on a lot faster and is more advanced than my 5 YO). This is our 1st year and I'm just curious to here any personal experiences or input. Also sad to say the cost is really nice. Just any input would be great !!!!:

I haven't/would not use it for a variety of reasons, but here is website of reviews on it that I thought might be helpful for you.

We are on our third year of using My Father's World. We've used K, 1st and this coming year will use Adventures for my 2nd grader and parts of K for my 4.5 year old.

You didn't say what your particular needs were in a curriculum, but we have found it to be a good fit for us in regard to the short, hands-on lessons and unit-study style. Using the MFW-K program will take you an hour or less each day. Each unit is spread out over six days, with the sixth day being an outing or nature walk-type activity.

It is a Christian curriculum, and, in particular, the unit on Dd-dinosaurs in MFW-K, is pure creationism. Since the curriculum relies heavily on library books, it would be easy enough to swap out the suggested books with others, if this does not fit with your personal beliefs. The first-grade units are focused on Bible history, and Adventures keys off of U.S. history/geography.

We used MFW K this past year. When we started, my kids were 4 and 5. I *really* liked the curriculum. It was short, fun for the kids, and just all around a sweet curriculum. I found it very easy to use in a secular manner. As a PP mentioned, it relies heavily on library books, and I simply chose books that were appropriate for our family (we also skipped the first two weeks of the curriculum).

That said, we will not be continuing with MFW 1st grade- I don't think I'd be able to modify it (take out the Xtian content) enough to work for our family.

This is my first year hsing so I don't have alot of experience but after doing alot of research our family decided on the MFW curriculum for our 2 oldest daughters ages 5 1/2 and 3 1/2.

I purchased the Kindergarten Deluxe package and an additional student worksheet set so I could use it for both my older DDs. It arrived on Monday. I'm very excited about it. I've read through the materials and teacher's guide and it looks super to me. I can't say we've used it though. We're trying to hold off until Sept.

If you go to their website they have a great message board just for MFW users. I've found it to be very helpful. www.mfwbooks.com

Good Luck choosing a curriculum. There's alot of good stuff out there!
