Another name help thread- sorry!

I told dh that he could name the baby this time because I named dd. But he needs some help, so I thought I'd ask for some suggestions. He wants something that is masculine and not too common, but also not too "out there". He likes Matthew and Michael, but they are very common. Any suggestions?

That's a hard thing to suggest - I actually really like both Michael and Matthew. I am all for traditional names that have withstood the test of time!

I like both of those names too! How about variations of those?

i.e. Mathias

http://www.namenerds.com/uucn/ This has a list that's all variations of traditional names

I love me some baby names! Drove DH crazy when I was pregnant.

I want to help you, but it would be easier if we knew your last name, for flow and to avoid unfortunate monograms. Also, what is DD's name. They have to sound right together.

In the meantime, off the top of my head I might suggest classic but not-too-done choices like:

Henry

Thomas

Stephen

I wish I could give my last name to make it easier, but I'm way too private for that. DD's name is Bella.
