Ok, so my midwife came out today to check on me... everything is looking great!!
My pee is EXCELLENT
... no protein spilling, great water content, no signs of infection, etc.
My blood pressure was 120/70, down a tiny bit from 122/74 last week.
Baby's heart tones sounded excellent at 128bpm...
Baby is a WHOLE lot lower in my pelvis this week than he was last week... I knew he'd gotten a lot lower though as I've been having TONS of pressure and pain in my cervix / general ass area ...
Fundus is measureing 39cm, up 2cm from last week, so he's been doing some growing!! It's no wonder I've been all bitchy lately, this baby is sucking the life out of me!

We're not doing any vaginal checks so no dialation/effacement updates but she did say with a baby that low in the pelvis, coupled with my description of hormonal fluctuations (I've been having terrible night sweats and just been a plain bitch for the past couple of days) that it definately could happen sooner than we had once suspected.

Oh, and she brought the pool and all the hoses and everything so we're going to do a trial run with all that stuff this weekend, just to make sure everything is working properly and everything...

My cousin was there cleaning my house while the midwife was there and she was all full of questions... we call her 'the mouth of the south' in our family as she's always got a million and one questions about EVERYTHING... so of course she was giving my mw the 3rd degree on homebirthin' and midwifery,
... my mw loved it though, she's so down to earth and just GOOD at what she does, how she does it and my cousin was very impressed with her after she left...
EXACTLY as I had hoped because I know she's gonna be calling everyone in my family and telling them all about her--this is a good thing because at first my family was very wary, if not completely unsupportive of my choice to birth at home with a midwife... while they've come around a LOT since the beginning, having one of "their own" confirm the midwife is awesome will go far!! (and knowing my cousin, they'll know all about it by the time I get home from work! LOL!!)
