Promethazine/codeine

Thread Starter
I have a horrible sinus infection. It is killing me. I finally went to the doctor today and she prescibed me amoxicillan and promethazine with codeine.

I'm not sure if I'm going to take them yet. I'm very hesitant to take antibiotics while pregnant because I am convinced that is what lead to months and months or horrendous thrush with dd. And I'm also worried about the other med because of what I've read about effects on a newborn.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Or alternatives?

Are you doing proactive things to help fight it, such as TONS of fresh garlic, elderberry, vitamin C, lots of fluids, lots of rest, and a decongestant, as well as a COOL mist humidifier? Maybe homeopathy?

If you've done all that, and it's not helping...you don't want to be truely sick when you go into labor. I'd get out the probiotics, keep up the proactive immune support, and take the antibiotics. And keep up the proactive immune support AND the probiotics AFTER you're done with the antibiotic.
