I've mentioned this before, but I know it's often hard to keep track of all the mamas on here. Anyway my daughter has spina bifida. She is fabulously healthy and amazes all of her doctors. Her health concerns are still very real and she will have some difficulties her whole life. I have been telling myself this whole pregnancy that everything would be perfect and trying to visualize that. I've still had this deep-seated fear.
Today we had our level II u/s (skipped the basic one) and everything is perfect with the baby!! I am so excited. I literally feel lighter this evening. It's just so wonderful to have seen the baby and its intact spine and perfectly shaped little head.
Now I can feel safer in going forward with our HBAC plans (and trying to avoid telling my family about those plans as long as possible LOL).
No, we didn't find out the gender. I want to be surprised this time.
