Harry Potter!!!

So tired as I may be, I will be making the midnight trek to the bookstore to pick up my copy tonight

I'm a dork, but it's making me happy, and that is saying a lot these days

Yeah, my 13 yr old is going to the Barnes & Noble Harry Potter party tonight. He's been going on about it all day today. I'm no good for driving after about 5 or 6pm, so my mom is taking him. I'm not sure if I'll read the book before the baby is born (assuming I have time once he's done with it) or if I'll wait. Right now the only thing I seem to want to read are historical romances, the less plot the better.

Have fun getting your book tonight.

I figure if I can't be in labor, at least I'll be reading HP7.

My amazon advance copy is due on my doorstep sometime early tomorrow morning.

I did the Barnes and Noble midnight release for book 6, and I was about 5 or 6 months pregnant then. My mom and I got there early that evening to get a numbered wristband, and then had to go back up there and wait in line again until our number came up to get our copy. I just don't have it in me this time to do all that. I reserved my copy, and I am just going up to the store tomorrow morning to get my book. I can hardly wait.

My mom is getting them at a small bookstore tonight and leaving it in my mailbox. I plan on spending tomorrow on a lawn chair up to my neck in the river reading HP all day!

i'll just download it on saturday when i get home from work, since
a) i'm working from 11pm tonight until 5 pm tomorrow, then have to be back at work at 9pm tomorrow for my LAST EVER SHIFT!!! (wooo hooo!!!) so lining up is out of the question
b) i can't read a paper book without my child wanting to climb onto it, tear pages out, etc. and i CAN read in front of the computer without too many distractions.

i can't wait!!! i'm re-reading the half-blood prince right now in preparation. yes, i'm a geek. :

I'll be picking mine up tomorrow morning.... if I get my copy at midnight I won't be able to sleep! Once I have it I must read it cover to cover. (I'm really glad that the last one is out before I have children! ) So I'm spending tomorrow in my chair reading.... until the book is done!

Man I wish I could read it. I am too swamped with work stuff, and knitting for the baby. Maybe I should just break down and get it on tape(I never thought I'd say that!!). I want to know what happens!!!

Okay, after you said that I had to peek, then had to share it with DH...who said, "He's morphing into Voldemort!"

I'm taking the girls to the midnight release, although I wasn't smart enough to go early to get wristbands, and if it seems like it will take too long to get a book, I'll just wait until tomorrow for that. But dd1 loves Harry Potter, she's going to be Hermione and is thrilled, and dd2 is along for all the fun of it. I figure it will be the last chance to do this, and dd1 might actually remember it, so what the heck! Yeah, my tired body, though...we might not stay long. The girls are asleep now and DH just went to lay down, I'll be waking everyone up in an hour to get dressed and go. : I'm a dork, too. And can't wait to bury my nose in a book.

It's just not right!

I put the new HP on my baby registry, but apparently no one thought that would be a good gift for the baby! Go figure. I'll probably try to buy it in the next week...Gotta get that in before baby comes.

Picked up my reserved copy yesterday morning at the bookstore down the road ... yes, even here in Costa Rica, I got it on the release date! My 5 year old (who "hates Harry Potter") asked me to read it in the car yesterday, so I had to read the first two chapters out loud to DD and DH. She says she only hates the movie (only ever seen previews), but, she says, "I promise I won't be scared of the book." (I still don't plan on reading more to her) But, it will be my entertainment between now and labor
