I want to scream everytime I see/read HIV & circ propaganda

Seriously, this issue just makes me boil over.

I don't know if it's healthy for me to think about it so much, but the idea of the campaigns for mass circumcision and the overturning of previously neutral policy statements by health organizations makes me so sad and angry.

Why doesn't anyone want to stand up for us men and our integrity? Why isn't anyone bothered that people want to launch campaigns to slice and dice the genitalia of men and boys?

: : :

Sorry to rant, but I needed to vent.

I hate the HIV/Circ propaganda so much.

I'm so sorry your mad. If it makes you feel any better I'm mad too.

CAC is a soft place to fall when we've been beaten by media. Even if it is the BIGGEST CROCK OF CRAP EVER.

Every time the pro-circ population gets worried and circers fear their income is threaten, they come up with this stuff. History is repeating itself. They use to tell us that circumcision cured epilepsy and a hosts of other ailments. We have the truth on our side and the truth will set us free. There are other articles that I try to reflect on whenever I see nasty written lies about circumcision and AIDS.

"The multi-country Mishra study concluded that circumcision may actually increase transmission of the AIDS virus, however, which is what many earlier studies found. The Brewer Study published in March, 2007, also concluded that circumcision in Kenya, Lesotho, and Tanzania increases the transmission of AIDS."

No doubt this statement will probably fall on def ears.

Maybe this will cheer you up. http://www.musiciansunited.org/

LOL @ that cartoon. I saw that one before, it's a good one.

Can you post the links to those studies? I'd like to keep them on hand!

Sure...

The multi-country Mishra Study concluded that circumcision may actually increase transmission of the AIDS virus, however, which is what many earlier studies found. The Brewer Study published in March, 2007, also concluded that circumcision in Kenya, Lesotho, and Tanzania increases the transmission of AIDS. :

On the Mishra Study link, you need to type in "Mishra" in the search engine. You will yield 22 documented Mishra's scientific data.

Thank you so much!

Why didn't these studies get the same amount of coverage as the other pro-circ ones? Hmm....Why didn't WHO and the UN take these studies into account when making their decisions? What's up?

I'd like to see if the med. associations of other countries are revising their statements...
