I just ordered a bunch of seventh generation stuff from 1-800 diapers through UPS and after a week I checked the # and supposedly it had been shipped to CT and signed for! (I live in VT) It'll be here next week now but come on, man..... I just want to get settled.

I feel your pain. Although you have one up on me since you're due and I've got possibly two weeks. I'm just wishfully thinking baby will be here before UPS is.

Okay, I'm calmer now. Book in hand.

DH and I were on our way to pick up a copy locally and LO! It was in the mailbox. Looks like the address label was all kinds of a mess, overstuck with other stickers, etc. and they had some trouble getting it here, but hurrah! ultimately they did.

So, I'm off to read. This is my consolation prize for no. baby. yet.

I can't stand not knowing what book you're reading!!!!!

I actually had a phone conversation this afternoon that was primarily about things OTHER than the baby, and it felt really good. I wish I could concentrate on one thing long enough to read more than just the newspaper....

I've had it preordered for forever and amazon *guaranteed* me that it would be shipped today - the release day. I've always been hoping that Jake would beat the book, but I figured at least I'd have the last HP book to distract me if he didn't. And then it (almost) didn't show!! OMG for awhile there I was beyond livid lol.

I know how you feel...we ordered this putrid water filtration UV system from some company over a month ago. It didn't work from day one, in fact when I was downstairs it started to smoke! So, long story short, they kept sending us power supplies that did NOT work (2 of them) and then a uv bulb. So, then I have to call them 5 times to find out where to send the stuff back, then they tell me that I have to send the replacements to one place and the original to the place I bought it (and pay for the postage, how nice), then I have to 'wait' for the #@$% to test it for a 'refund'. BS, I already called my cc company is am disputing this whole thing, I sent it all back and will NOT pay for this crap that doesn't work. A week ago I ordered ANOTHER system from another company, and guess what? IT WORKS GREAT!! Plus a bonus was it was even cheaper. Not only that but our house isn't done, DH has to add a breather pipe to the upstairs toilet he just installed (because it's not working right and not flushing right and stinking up the upstairs..where our makeshift bedroom is too....blaaaugh! So...I FEEL YOUR PAIN!
